Been playing the heck outta Banjo-Tooie recently. I don't know who at Rare thought it would be an absolutely splendid idea to make Canary Mary and her stupid races. Those things are gonna be the end of me.

Apologies for late response. Things are pretty nice over here. Aside from business and all that other stuff crammed in my schedule. It's nice to get on here again, y'know?

I picked up Ori and the Blind Forest last month, probably the most visually appealing game I have played in a while and the first game to make me cry in 10 minutes. The soundtrack is amazing and so is the gameplay. It might be a hard game for some though. I'm not sure what to describe here, the trailer does it better than me. This is easily my all time favorite game now.

It's gorgeous indeed.
Playing Cthulhu Saves the World, a parody old school RPG.

Mmm, I remember having seen Canary Mary in Banjo-Tooie, but not the races… I guessed I haven't rescued her in the mines.
I should play it again. I've been able to get to the final boss, but this game deserves a 100% completion!
For now, I've attacked La-Mulana. A Metroidvania known for its tedious puzzles, coupled with deadly traps and enemies everywhere. And by “puzzle”, I don't mean pushing boxes. The game is a huge labyrinth with a lot of steles, symbols, runes, statues, mysterious characters… All of them giving clues for riddles that are, most of the time, in a totally different area. Yup, that kind of puzzle.
But even if I'm most of the time lost and confused, I've been able to make progress at each session. Either by discovering knew zones, or getting an new item. The game is mean and obscure, but never lets the player helpless (maps, chests, sounds, words emphasized, etc…). I'll sure need some paper and pen to get to the end, but I'm confident so far.
I've also started again Crypt of the Necro Dancer, since it has officially launched. Zone 3 is still hard, but still fun.

Again, the updated steam version fixed all of this, and it has the normal PS1 tracks now.
Really?? Sadly I don’t have the Steam version.
PS: All of this? I only mentioned the music.

I'm wishing you the best of luck before you get to the races. She's definitely one of those huge obstacles that keeps you from getting absolutely everything in the game.
Slowly continuing Super Luigi Galaxy.

Now that I got my computer GPU back, I have a lot on my plate that I've been playing around with. Mostly Dolphin emulator, which is a gamecube/wii emulator that can upscale to high definition, with this I've played Super Mario Galaxy, F-Zero GX, Project M, Soul Calibur 2, and Melee, all run fantastic, few drops here and there but nothing big, all games look so phenomenal in high definition, I really need to replay Paper Mario Thousand Year Door on it.
Aside from emulation, I'm just playing Far Cry 3, I had to fiddle with a lot of the settings to get it nicely optimized for AMD but it's a really fun game.
I decided to drop into Modern RS, it seems they've added an option for it to play more like classic RS. It definitely throws back to the old feel. The game itself looks miles different from what I was on, some areas feel a lot smaller mind you. Not so fond of how some tracks have been replaced, they still seem to be there, but they don't play anymore, it's all orchestrated now.

I played Sven Co-Op today and I love it. The GoldSrc engine is extremely limited, but the glitchy quality just allows so much dumb fun, and the cooperation gameplay is actually well done.

Also a really awesome game, still have it on my N64, pretty underrated title just like a good chunk of the F Zero games. GX still remains my favorite.
