Origins/Legends have way better level design than any NSMB game, have fun playing your superior Mario controls in one of the many uninspired shitty NSMBWii levels. Mario's progressive speed (that thrilling 1983 feature) works in the context of the game's design, Rayman has much swifter control because the game often demands that kind of movement from the player. And it's not like they have that shitty abrupt lack of momentum that poorly designed NES games had, controlling Rayman is incredibly easy and feels great. You stupid gay baby.

Lol, calm your tits, brother, I never said I'd rather play NSMB games. Just because I said Mario games have better momentum doesn't mean that it's a better game overall. In fact, please quote when I said I liked Mario more than Rayman. I only stated facts. It is indeed true that bad artstyle can entirely ruin a game, heck, I'm a sucker for artstyle, that's the reason why a lot of AAA games don't suck me in... because they try this realistic approach that doesn't quite get there and in the end looks ugly and uncanny. I hate Heavy Rain, I even dislike GTA games, but I adore games like Paper Mario (yes, even the most recent one is pretty amazing) and Ori & the Blind Forest. I adore those things, and it´s one of the reasons why I defend Ubiart's Rayman like a fucking wacko.

I also agree that Rayman's level design is clearly superior, being more organic and believable than the blocky mess that is NSMB. I never said the opposite. Just because I said "NSMB isn't that bad" you're already creating in your mind the concept that I enjoy it a lot more than your lord an savior Rayman.

Funny. That's exactly what everyone who hasn't played it says. The rest of the Paper Mario community actually enjoys it a lot. Don't let yourself get controlled by the media. I know The Thousand Year Door is amazing, but Color Splash is actually a great experience too. In its own merits, of course (Because TTYD is still a lot superior).

No i did play Colour Splash and it's more or less what I originally expected. It's got more character than Sticker Star, but I almost find that game more forgivable because at least it was the first attempt of a new direction and miyamoto (wrongly) thought the series should implement those ideas to innovate and change the formula. This just seems like a slight step in the right direction that still suffers from the same problems. I tried to give it a fair shot despite being a f a n b o y for the original games, but it just strikes me as a horribly clunky unpolished game

But i'll leave it that because i've already whined and cried a gorillion times about it
