That was a pretty lame pun on my name. Does it even count as a pun? I don't fucking know.Adsolution wrote:Sergio? No, I'm sure-he's-Joe.

I'm sorry, was that second sentence supposed to be related to the first? I can't for the life of me figure out how. I want you to explain it to me.The_Real_Razorbeard wrote:Oh, and would you kindly stop using 'autistic' as an insult? It's not 2011 anymore.
I already explained last page that we're just shitposting. I don't actually have anything against Sergio, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't have anything against me either, we just like to mock the fact that we have differing opinions in a number of areas.The_Real_Razorbeard wrote:The nomination for 'Worst Thread 2017' still stands, because this thread hasn't gotten any better since I last checked it, as evidenced by the continued hurling of insults between you two.
Nay, since you haven't described the relation between me calling him autistic and it not being 2011 anymore, which is literally what I asked you to do.The_Real_Razorbeard wrote:That explain it?
There are plenty of words in our day-to-day vocabulary that were at one point considered taboo, and the fact that they aren't anymore was not in any way aided by the kind of worldview you're advocating. Such a worldview allows you to discard context and the artistic merit language has to offer, if you just feel like it.The_Real_Razorbeard wrote:I simply feel that using 'autistic' as an insult is at about the same level as still insisting on calling things 'retarded' or 'gay.' Mannerisms that I, and more or less every content creator I follow online, left behind several years ago.
Sick brah.The_Real_Razorbeard wrote:On another note, though, I have to say, your idea of 'shitposting' seems angrier than most.
And? That is a phenomenon that needs to be removed from history, if one were to ask me. Zero quality, zero use, a ton of insults - it's worse than spamming.Adsolution wrote:I already explained last page that we're just shitposting.
No, that's just how you're choosing to interpret it (which is wrong), given what you said directly afterward:The_Real_Razorbeard wrote:Look, I'm a big fan of George Carlin's philosophy on language: words are words, what matters is intent. And the intent here is still using them as insults.
Just like that, you've made an outrageous claim and drawn some completely arbitrary line where none actually exists, based purely off of an emotional connection to the semantics I used.The_Real_Razorbeard wrote:There is no 'artistic merit' in cussing out a former friend while 'shitposting' if that's really what you're going to call that.
I'm just going to assume you don't go outside very often.The_Real_Razorbeard wrote:And if all that was 'tame' by your standards, I'd really hate to see the kind of shit you say in private.
Let's say you're right on this point: to an oustider looking in, none of that is apparent, especially when it's all just text. You could have 10 different people read those posts, and you'd likely get 10 different interpretations. A couple might agree with you, a couple might agree with me, and a couple more might think we're both idiots. Without vocal cues or tone of voice to go on, it's much harder to tell if it was all just verbal jousting, especially when you specifically used phrases like 'this is why we aren't friends anymore.' Hell, even using emotes can help clarify this sort of thing. Even if you were using those words in the manner you claim, that's not how it looks.Adsolution wrote:When friends (or people who you know can take a joke, usually) "insult" one-another by calling them, say, "retarded", they're not claiming that that person is retarded, nor are they making fun of retarded people: they're mocking the sorts of people who would actually say those things in seriousness.
By "move", I actually meant physically move the posts made since the 24th, but whichever works.Master wrote:I think I'm going to take Ad's suggestion and enforce it, if this is going to continue on, move it to off-topic.
No. I love TTYD as well. All that game deserves is being viewed via a let's play. All that remains is a good story.sergiomonty wrote:Funny. That's exactly what everyone who hasn't played it says. Yyyyeaaaah.... I think I'm getting too old for shitposting. It was fun while it lasted, but for me? it's time to move on. It comes to a point when Autistic Nigger McFartfarts jokes are not funny anymore. They're just, you know, childish?Adsolution wrote:I already explained last page that we're just shitposting. AAAAAAAnd you haven't played Color Splash either, which proves my point.neo wrote:No. I love TTYD as well. All that game deserves is being viewed via a let's play. He's too mature for fart jokes guys. He must be scoffing at this frog picture too.sergiomonty wrote:Yyyyeaaaah.... I think I'm getting too old for shitposting. Like, to some degree I actually expected you to respond with something serious, but you came with insults. It was hilarious 5 years ago, now it's dumb.
Well, it's pretty common knowledge the game didn't do anything to amend Sticker Star's shortcomings, you don't really need to play it to experience something unseen in trailers and reviews. Unless you want the thrill of going through card menus every battle.sergiomonty wrote:AAAAAAAnd you haven't played Color Splash either, which proves my point.
