Yes, it's still in development. Adsolution's decided not to upload as much content as he used to a while back. He made a few posts about it in this thread, if you care for a search.

Late, but just a new tidbit of ROTD stuff

He's been making really good progress with the game as well as working on a minor project on the side that I won't reveal!

Interesting, I can imagine plants working out well, like giant leaves or even an unique plant type with spring form.

This looks fantastic! The jump animation is so smooth and like Haruka said, plants or even mushrooms could be the spring forms!

It's not another user, lol. It's not anybody being added to the team. It's essentially another project that's "side work" from the main project, ROTD. That's your hint. The guessing begins now.

Considering everyone in the know keeps reffering to it as a side project from ROTD my shitty guesses would be that it's ne of three things.
1. Ad is making an original game completely seperate from Rayman.
2. It's a Reimagining of a small portion of Rayman 2 running on ROTD's version of CRYengine
3. It's a smaller demo like game that will act as a preview to ROTD, -giving us the chance to give feedback on the project- but story wise will be completely standalone, something like Ground Zeroes was to MGSV.

those are just my shitty and probably wrong guesses.

Sadly this is a near impossibility. At the current moment, Adsolution has left the RPC due to a fallout between members during the early summertime. I was not around at the time (I was pretty busy and just wasn't online), so I do not know what happened to ROTD after the issue but I think that the project is currently being made by Ad alone.

Not true. The team is still hard at work, all five (five?) of them. It's just Ad that doesn't post the updates anymore. But don't think there's no more updates because he left the forum - there were scarecely any updates the past months to begin with. Nothing's changed except Ad's presence here.

There was a little video a few weeks back. Did you guys catch that?

what about releasing a demo of ROTD?
I understand as a game creator I don't like releasing the game before it's finished, but even a very limited part of a level would be awesome!! Wha'ts wrong with that?

They're planning on creating one as far as I know. If you're patient, you may see it pop up here some time!

Not for a long time. If a demo is to be released to the public, I'd imagine Ad would at least want to fully work out the basic mechanics.

Extremely irrelevant now but there's a stress test demo that may still be up somewhere.
