I managed to decode entire fix.sna file. We knew it contained language, but from what I see, it may also contain model files, and scripts/prefabs?

If you want to mess around with it, you can get the decoded version here:
http://szymekk.me/rayman2/fix.sna.decoded.
EDIT: I decoded a few other files:

Actually I don't think that something especially useful would be found here.
One good think made with language files would be to joint all languages available from various releases
e.g. Polish with English. But it is also a little waste of time, and only matter of overwriting of the files.
I don't really understand the purpose of your actions, but still, nice find.

I'm doing it, because we want to make a remake of Rayman 2, don't we?

I appreciate your work but, believe me that it'll take a lot of time and effort of many people, if it's possible at all.
And seeing names of simple files is not enough.
That would be good to begin from textures replace, if we even talk about this things.
Chill out and check my reshade preset as some kind of the remake if U want.
Regards! :-)
PS. I'm also in touch with Synthesis who can write tool for replacing sound effects for better quality ones. Maybe next month.

I'm making another tool. This one extracts sounds from .bnm.

You can download it here:

I know, I know. But he stubbornly creates new tools which mostly existed in past.
The same for unpacking sounds.
PS. Maybe some organized action in replacing textures?

I don't understand your post scriptum

And he made those tools so they can be open source, MixerX (who originally made the tools) said to me he didn't wanted to give source

Here they are:
viewtopic.php?t=13043
But link is down. Ask Harpic for reupload.
@GOT4N I meant starting some new topic in matter of initiative progress of replacing textures from DC to PC version. Probably it will be work for more people. Maybe with giving there some links with instructions, and divide files among people.

Anyway, by the way. You're a sixteen year old programming genius.
Congratulations.

Really? I get that what szymski's doing isn't groundbreaking in the grand scheme of things, given that he's recreating and open-sourcing tools which serve an already serviced purpose. But being astoundingly bitter about it isn't going to help anyone move forward and ultimately just sours the mood.

That's why I just tried to appreciate his hard work. I think it's maybe for his own purposes a little, and to get some new skills, but complecity of tools must require some substancial knowledge for teenager.
Still, as you said, they serve an already serviced purpose.
I just want try to move forward a little things around by beeing choosy.
Sorry for deterioration of your mood, Master.
Have a nice evening.

I didn't think the SNA files could be decrypted fully yet.. also it's nice to have open source tools with graphical interfaces

so kudos for szymski

I'm doing it mainly because I want to improve my skills in reverse engineering, but I also always wanted to do something more to Rayman (editing levels, discovering secrets, you know).
I started making a decompiler for DSB scripts to understand game's structure better.
That's what it outputs for now:

I'll be making a compiler for those, of course. I want to see what I'll be able to change.

Ah, my mistake, I wasn't aware you were being sincere. My humblest and sincerest apologies, I misinterpreted the tone of your post.
