I don't think so. The only thing the originals had that the remakes didn't were a ton of glitches and broken type advantages.

*Gale, not gate.

Also, how are the originals better than the remakes?

Same here, Ranger is one i've always wanted to try but never got round to buying. I'd also like the other mystery dungeons because I liked blue team.

You can also get Manaphy with Pokémon Ranger.

I was going to say I have a Manaphy but no I have a Phione (? Un-sure about spelling) I obtained from Pokemon farm. I gave up trying to get Mew on it.

Bah i'm sure I'll try to find it cheap in Game when I go up to Edinburgh.

Its a personal oppinion, meaning I know most people would disagree though I don't only like it better for nostalgia, I like the soundtrack more, and the classic battles, though other then that firered is a good remake.

Serebii's got some stuff on BW2 leaked :

Image

The two on the far right are the trainers you choose while the black haired guy is your rival. The other person at the very end with the gravity defying hair i'm assuming is the prof.

There's more of it here : http://serebii.net/index2.shtml

EDIT: For the benefit of others please refrain from quoting this while having the large picture up, at least take out the image tags if you're too lazy to only quote part of it.

Really, Pokemon gets funkier each day.

Black haired guy is the rival? I only see one black haired guy here which is the trainer to the far right you whom you mentioned was a pickable trainer. Or are you talking about the black guy on the other end of the page?

Or am I blind?

Nah, it says if the post has been edited under their post if they edit it after someone else posts.

Ew, is that the boy character? I guess I'll be playing as the girl if I get this game.

Of course! I mean, LOOK AT HIM. If he didn't have a better outfit you would think he was a stray kid.

It is hard what I'm going to say, but even I that I consider myself a Pokémon fan since the very first appearance in the world, I think the franchise isn't in fashion anymore since a good while.

I mean, I think GameFreak should have stopped in Hoenn region, and not creating anything else.

Sinnoh region disappointed me, and I admit the Pokémon designs of the Gen 4 are ugly in a point I don't feel inspired or motivated to catch them by my own. The previous games managed better to inspire me to catch them all. And from what I know about Gen 5 (even if it is few, but Pokédex 3D also helps), it looks even worse in terms of Pokémon design.

I think they are betting too much in the merchandising and doing too much juice with it. The spin-offs for example have been even more poor now. What about also Pokémon Battle Revolution? The graphics are the strongest point of the game, but if in the rest we compare with Pokémon Stadium 1 and 2, PBR is poor in the gameplay variety and longevity, and too much repetitive and tiring. In Stadium you could at least play mini-games with your own Pokémon, and winning rare Pokémon (Eevee, Kabuto, Omanyte, Squirtle, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan) that are very important to finish your Pokédex in the first gen, and in a quicker way. You could even get a chance to battle against Mewtwo. In PBR it is all about items and items bought from points, points and more points.
