Ehh, I'll believe it when I see it, I'm not feeling it at present.

Movie is looking really nice, can't say I've been a fan of the new Spongebob's but I'll check this out.

Fuck it, it has CGI segments.

Meh, in honesty, it wouldn't have bugged me as much hadn't it not been for the original movie, where they went above the ocean and were portrayed by irl lookalikes. I think there was an episode of the cartoon which did something similar too. I'm not usually against CGI, but I have to admit, it's giving a bit of dissonance in light of what I've mentioned prior.

I don't have a problem with CG (though I do admit it is overused and would like to see more traditional animation). At least they didn't give the characters realistic detail, they look like the characters, just in 3D. Stephen Hillenberg and some of the original staff are back for the movie, so there's some hope at least.

Hmm the Spongebob Movie looks like it could be ok.. but if it's mostly above water and CG then I don't think I'll like it much. Taking Spongebob out of the ocean takes the uniqueness out of the whole show, at that point you're just making a generic superhero movie from the looks of it.
