According to what I read, it's just an assist trophy, but blimey does he look good in HD, so who knows?

For those of you unaware, Reggie is getting up on stage at the VGX Awards on SpikeTV today, and is announcing "the world premiere of something big".

There is a lot of evidence hinting at it being the announcement of the new Zelda game for Wii U, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

For those of you wondering what kind of hints I mean:

-Shigeru Miyamoto stated that Zelda U was very near being shown off as a playable demo at E3, but they didn't quite make the deadline. Had they a little more time, Zelda U would already have been properly revealed.

-Eiji Aonouma stated at Comic-Con that Zelda U was READY to be shown off and would of loved to announce it then. However, Nintendo wanted him to focus on A Link Between Worlds, and hype that game up as it was much nearer to release.

-Skull Kid was announced as an assist trophy for Smash Bros the DAY BEFORE Reggie's big announcement. Very convenient.

-When the official Nintendo of America Twitter page posted a photo of a real life replica of the Master Sword recently, a key figurehead of the VGX (can't remember the name off the top of my head) retweeted the photo. Again, very convenient.

-Considering how the target audience of the VGX is "mature" gamers (gamers who prefer realistic art styles from games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Grand Theft Auto, etc), there is no way we are getting an announcement of a new Mario game or something like that. While a lot of people also speculate some big Smash Bros related announcements (which I believe is another likely possibility), or the unveiling of a brand new IP geared towards a more mature audience, all of the previous "clues" I posted just feel way too convenient.

Sure thing, so far it's absolutely fucking boring, nothing special at all. The little Smosh skit though was decently funny surprisingly.

If Call of Duty Ghosts actually gets best shooter I will lose so much faith in gaming...

I'm watching right now:

Interview-dude: Gonna see anymore Metroid in the future?

Reggie: Of— well, who's to say?

Reggie almost said "of course". New Metroid confirmed, guys

Reggie was wearing a pin of 8-bit Samus, by the way. Let's keep waiting.

Also, there is a "surprise premiere that is well worth it" yet to be shown, that is reliant on Twitter posts or something. I have a feeling it's a Nintendo game. Remember, Nintendo's first world premiere is supposed to be shown here. We still have not seen it. Calm down guys, it's too early to get up in arms.

Reggie also brought up the "Reggie for Smash Bros" petition. That's the second time he's mentioned it. I think they're legitimately considering putting him in at this stage.

Also, notice how in the listings, World Premiere's are listed as just that. The segment we just saw with Reggie was listed "Play: Nintendo", as in, to show gameplay of a Nintendo game.

Also, GTA V won Game of the Year - WHO'S SURPRISED? :V
