Careful there, that could be considered spoilers. But after seeing the Rayman Origins preview at E3 many years ago in which they showed off the final level, it certainly seems like it.. let's hope that the game doesn't end there.
I just edited my post, you should too.
Anyways I loved the ending part of the boss, but I really hope what I saw wasn't the real ending, that'd be a shame.

I guess I'd rather not know too much about the story yet because I went into Rayman Origins not knowing a thing about the story, or at least not much. The gameplay was the first to draw me in, and I think I heard about the story later on. I'm not entirely sure. But in any case, I'd rather go into Legends only knowing the overall plot intro. That'd be enough for me until I actually get to play it. Still, I'll be glad to see more artwork as it's released.

It's like BioShock in reverse. Moody Clouds was Columbia, this is Rapture.

Ancel, what have you been watching!?
Now concerning the new videos that I watched, they are gorgeous ! Those colours and details, beautiful graphism. Who cares about Rayman Origins' graphics now when you have this marvel?
[That dragon boss battle was super epic, loved it! And I just cracked up in how the Magician ended getting stuck in a planet 8'D. Did you guys see that strange Teensie Wizard? It seemed to help the crew by giving the power fist items. I just hope this video does not corresponds to the end of the game.]

In the other hand... maybe this is just part of the ending, and the rest of the ending comes after the Lums are counted. I can't imagine Ubisoft throwing us at a credits screen again, especially after such a weak ending. (still funny, though, gotta love those butt jokes)

According to the french interview, there's a surprise for people who beat the game 100%, and that "fans might like it". We just need to wait and see.

According to a preview with VentureBeat, it seems that Murphy is implemented in the Xbox 360/PS3 versions by button presses, or in other terms, not so quick quick-time-events.
For the other versions of the game, however, one player can press a button to move and guide Murfy to areas of interest and the flying frog friend will know what to do based on the context. [Emile] Morel assured me that this would not interrupt the flow of the levels too much, as players can keep moving during this time.
It also states that additional characters (costumes in most respects) will have to be rescued at some point, in order to become playable, instead of merely unlocking them by obtaining a certain amount of a collectable item like in RO.
Though each of these female warriors still need to be initially rescued

I would say "Ly" or "Mr Dark", but I assume that by "fans" they mean fans of Rayman Origins, which probably means more Fee de la Mort/nymphs.

A "musical surprise" Chrisophe Heral said. Maybe a Rayman 1 song remix ?
Morel figures that when you add in the almost 30 levels they’ve added (bringing the total to over 100), it will take an impressive 20 hours to get through this sidescroller.
There are more levels than we thought!
As far as the Rayman roster goes, the developer has added 10 new playable female characters (...) the women all based on the same template [Barbara] (...) the area-themed costumes and names for each qualifies them as separate people. Barbara is the barbarian (...) While Ursula is suited up for deep sea espionage and wields a trident. (...) each of these female warriors still need to be initially rescued
Barbara and her sisters(?) replace the nymphs... they're all area-themed, so that means 10 worlds? Maybe not 10 completely different environments though, just like Origins had 2 jungle worlds, 2 music worlds etc... though it would be odd to have multiple Barbaras with the same theme.
While all the unlockable skills from Origins are available from the beginning Legends, each world will focus on one at a time.
Doesn't seem like we'll get any new moves, but all the previous ones are there.
pros will appreciate the returning ingenious level design that allows each level to double as a race course with an optimal path
So "time attack mode" could possibly return... "race course" seems to hint to that. I hope it'll be back.
“I was already happy with the game we were about to finish in January … proud of it,” said Morel. “But honestly, now that I see what we have right now, I feel like it would have been sad to release the game then because right now. It’s really in a sense that it’s the biggest, longest Rayman game we’ve ever had.”

[I fear that video with the mechanical dragon is the end of the game (Eh, you do see the Magician getting his butt kicked, so I guess so?)... Knowing how they spoiled the end of RO last time. Oh well, end or not, this was awesome to watch. ] I really love the level designs, it looks gorgeous!
Squiz wrote:A "musical surprise" Chrisophe Heral said. Maybe a Rayman 1 song remix ?
Yes, or maybe a reference to any older Rayman games! A Rayman 2 reference would be awesome. ...It would be too good to be true, but oh well. *shrugs*
I've read the french article yesterday and...I'm still laughing with one of Ancel's quotes near the end.
Haruka wrote:Ancel, what have you been watching!?
I think I don't want to know...
But from what I've read in the french article, globally RL will end up being a little easier than RO. However, there are a lot of secrets anyway and "you'll have to hang on to find them all". ...Honestly if the secrets are like the RO ones (the "Help!" shouts makes everything easier) I don't think these would be too much hard to find them...I hope they'll improve a little in this side.
The music levels will be kinda a 'replacement' of the tricky treasure levels. To be honest I prefer by far the music levels. I wonder which other musics they will use for the game.
Rayfanboy wrote:It also states that additional characters (costumes in most respects) will have to be rescued at some point, in order to become playable, instead of merely unlocking them by obtaining a certain amount of a collectable item like in RO.
OK so this is a way to replace the nymphs from RO. Not bad.
Anyway, I think the game looks far better than RO was. It's very nice how they took the oportunity of the delay to add more stuff. They decided to add an extra boss per universe. Looks like the game will be longer than we expected. [From the french article, if the delay didn't happen, that mechanical dragon boss wouldn't be there] I'm looking forward to the E3, they will surely give more news (well, at least I hope so).

Just put this song:
...As part of a really hard musical level, and there's your final level.
-------
Oh, by the way, Rayman's official facebook revealed the names of some enemies.
Looks like even in their splinter cell costumes, the enemies are still refered simply to as "toads".
The dragon is not called Nemo, but "Mechanical Dragon".
And the evil guy who throws electric pieces of broken machines at you a la Donkey Kong is called "Sea Shark".... even despite the fact that it doesn't look like a shark. I guess it's a seaman nickname or something.

This was exactly the music I was thinking about as a Rayman 2 reference, it would be awesome. With robot-pirates as enemies through the level and...
...
OK I stop dreaming.
Mechanical Dragon? Toad? ...Well, looks like they didn't want to put a lot of effort in finding names.

machinima interviewed emile morel yesterday, and he said it was the 4th world! not the last. so it's not the final battle.
