It just looked weird, someone making a joke about child abuse (which is actually not a very good subject to make jokes about) and then you go 'LOLOL'. Well, it isn't funny. That's the point.

You take things too seriously. When he said child abuse, he didn't actually suggest you were a victim of child abuse.
I'm making a joke out of sarcasm, which is perfectly okay.

And if you weren't joking, I was right for correcting you. That's the risk I take by taking it seriously.

Well, seriously, some things you can just tell when someone is being sarcastic. And even if they weren't joking, it isn't the end of the world to joke on something evil such as child abuse. I mean, who is going to be offended by someone joking about child abuse?

Maybe someone concerned by this. Anyways, it's quite rare.
