I knew what you were talking about as well, HC. No need to worry. Yes, I also do those verticle and horizontal lines on the head as well. It's a very good guide - especially when you can get confused about where you should put the eyes, nose, mouth, etc. Sometimes I don't erase it, however. A friend of mine likes to see what my drawings look like before I erase all of the unecessary lines. It's a total mess, trust me.

i don't tend to use those lines, but when i do, i prefer to get rid of them. otherwise, as you said, it looks messy.

But I also enjoy being reminded of the simple steps I took to make each individual drawing. So - that's another reason why I don't erase the lines on seldom times.

I don't erase the help-lines because I'm lazy.
And they have their own charm too, I suppose. :3

Haha, exactly. I dunno why, but I find them to be rather intriguing.

Don't say that.

All of us have our own advantages and disadvantages. That's what makes us all unique. I bet you're a great drawer. I just doodle whatever's in my mind. Very much depends on my mood as well. Normally I have a rather blank expression on my face, so that's the way I draw some of my characters. X3 Take my siggie as an example. I scribbled that while I was in lunch... I had nothing to eat and no one to talk to. Hence - I was bored. So that's also the way the drawing turned out. I can't draw Rayman while my current feelings are expressionless, however. I need to feel something extreme... Whether it be sadness, anger, or happiness. That's the only way I can draw him decently. It's quite funny, really...

well, i love drawing but not in most forms of artistic drawing. i'm creative, and i can draw well, but i'm not artistic, so to say.

Everyone has some form of artistic abilities within them. You just have to dig them out and reveal them.

i'm artistic in other ways, but with drawing i'm not really artistic so to speak.

That's perfectly fine.

As long as you enjoy doing it.

Yuppers. It's a fun way to get my feelings out toward the world. Everything seems to be better when you have an audience to actually look at your art. Before I ever discovered the 'marvels' of the internet, I just kept my drawings to myself.

I love drawing emotions and expressions. Nuff said.
And the internet is indeed a good thing, or I would never get to talk to you guys. D:

Can I have a shovel? 83 Seriously, you'd really have to dig a lot if you want to see art from me. Most I can do are stickmen...though I must say, I enjoy drawing even them. I can't draw two identical stickmen, but I'm sick enough to like even this absence of talent, and make two pages full of stickmen wars. XD

But I would say writing is a form of art, too, just like dancing and music. :3 So we've already seen art from you~ D:
Anyways, a couple o' WIPs.

This one's going to be pretty much like this, except I'm going to ink and colour it... : P

In this one, I'm going to move the kid a bit further away from Globox, and the doll a bit further down, and Globox a bit further from the surface, but otherwise, the lines will be pretty much like this, except is will be inked and coloured too. D:
And I'm going to do something like this for limbless and greenbottles too, but I can't think of what they should be doing, or what the enviroment should be... Any ideas? : D

Awww...thanks a lot. ^__^ *hugz*
I really like the Globox pic! When someone has 650 kids, they're bound to lose things all the time. Good thing they have such a good daddy. 83
About the Ly pic....well...just one question. *rolls out a map* Where is that place?! Signal it and I'm outta here!! 8D

Yeah, Globox has to be the most adorable father ever~ :3
And that place actually halfway exists. It's inspired by a place I sometimes go with my dog. There's this flat stone placed in a small sort of strait you can swim out to when it's warm in the weather, and there's a couple of tall rocks placed around it. It's also a bit inspired by the gate to the Walk of Power, I think it was. Those Stone-henge like places were you go to see Ly.
