I agree about it looking interesting gameplay-wise - I just wish they used Rayman and the supporting characters from his franchise for the crossover.

This conference made it clear that Ubi subsists off the tears of Rayman fans. When they're not having nightmares about Vivendi, they're busy sweetly dreaming of the utter devastation they've brought to the Rayman franchise, laughing in joy at the agony of the true fans who reject the abominations that are the UbiArt titles. We can only hope that Vivendi is quick in their acquisition of Ubi, so that they may bring deliverance to the starved fans who wish for recompense at the heinous Rabbids' crimes, and have the Rabbids franchise forevermore stuck upon the pike where it belongs. /s

In all seriousness, it looks rather intriguing. I'm not one for the humour, but I was surprised and impressed. It's clear that they put a lot of passion into the game, and seeing the director close to tears after Miyamoto praised the work done was really heartwarming. I might not be keen on the Rabbids and do kinda wish we got Rayman, but I do genuinely hope this game succeeds. Barring that and BG&E2, I admit, I wasn't too interested in Ubi's offerings, though that's more down to my personal tastes. I will say I was very glad to see them focus on a more human approach to showing their games, as opposed to the excessively showmanlike demeanour the other conferences had and Ubi have had in the past.

So, then came Nintendo...and while they didn't have much time in their spotlight, boy did they touch the stuff I like. I remember watching the Prime 4 reveal, seeing the nebula with anxious hope, and then seeing it form into the screw-attack icon, and then finally, the Prime title theme played as the 4 showed. And I hyped big time. I admit, it's only a teaser, and I've since heard that it's not being done by the same team who did the original Prime Trilogy. That being said, it's still being helmed by the guy behind the previous titles, so I think even if it's not the same team, the direction should be the same. Then came Samus Returns, I didn't expect anything to come after the Spotlight, so I had turned the stream off. Then Haruka messaged me about another title, and I was floored. I don't own a 3DS, but I'm wondering about trying to save for a 2DS XL just for this, or just leave things be and be happy with AM2R. In addition to the big Metroid, there was also a new Kirby for the Switch, which I'll be keen to try out if I purchase a Switch in the future.

Rayfist made a good point about no footage of the new Pokemon or Prime 4 being shown, they were more just confirmed. I think given how much weight both titles have, I'm not really too concerned about them just announcing their existence. It makes the Switch come across as a more justified purchase, I feel, for those who own it, while also bringing it to the attention of more folks who may have not been so interested to begin with.

Overall...I think Ninty just about gets it from me, though it's less for the overall presentation and more just for hitting my sweet spots.

I voted Ubisoft, mainly because of BG&E2 but also because they handled the rest of the presentation, including Rabbids, fairly well. Only Mario really grabbed my attention in Nintendo's direct, and Sony's lineup, while really good, was a lot weaker than in previous years.

By the way, I thought the poll was off but Digital Homicide never had a press conference and wouldn't be able to publish any games anyway as they've been banned from Steam. Guess you meant Devolver Digital?

For me it was both Ubisoft and Nintendo because of BG&E2 and Super Mario Odyssey respectively. I just think it was a shame existing zero footage of that Pokémon RPG that simply got confirmed. Maybe next year we'll have a first look but they got me curious.

That's a tough one... Let it be Nintendo as several good stuff were shown, not just Super Mario Oddysey!

I liked that Mario was there, but if only Marta Beanus could've been announced too...
