Awesome! I wanted to ask you to do this, but...I just didn't. In case you said no. I wouldn't have been able to handle the rejection
By the way, did you ever try putting your Rayman Junior disc in a CD player? If you did and you heard music, then it's definitely a good thing it's in IMG + SUB + CCD format (the only format that CDDA sound can work under).
Thanks

If someone was like, demanding it to be done and would keep harassing me for it, that's when I get really annoyed. But HarukaTaveres was being polite so I did it.
I believe that the music is in the same format as that in Rayman 1, so I couldn't get it to work even in Mooby2 [infact, Mooby2 in ePSXe 1.70 nearly nuked my ear drum

]. Haruka said that she knows how to fix this but I'll have to talk to her again about that.

Downloading...3%?
*glances at clock*
Hmm...
Wait...4%!
EDIT: Okay, I've finished downloading...when I try to unrar it, it say CRC error - the file is corrupt
Same thing happened with that R3 GC torrent I downloaded. I wonder what is going on...
EDIT 2: Sweet! I tried repairing the file with WinRAR and it worked! Playing it right now!
EDIT 3: Music working perfectly!
Now, why isn't WinRAR able to repair my R3 GC? That is the question...

@Spiraldoor, have you tried CDmage ? It is a little freeware program that can fix corrupt images.

@StaceyW : Really, awesome work

How did the music work? I must lack a sound plugin or something.

I used the same plugins I used for R1 (the same one I that worked for you, see the end of page 3 and start of page 4)
Did you remember to select "Run CDROM" instead of "Run ISO"? And you'll need to configure the plugin to turn up the CDDA volume from zero, which is the default.

Works in 1.60 now, but in 1.70 it makes a HORRID buzzing sound.
Not sure how it turned out to be a corrupt RAR though.

Works fine in 1.70 for me
However, when I play R1 with the same plugins and settings, it get a loud "KSHHHHHHH" noise whenever I hear the YEAH music after finishing a level or whenever I hear the PS1-exclusive music. But this only happens after I load a state, for some reason.
If you still have a copy the RAR file you uploaded, try unRARing it. If it works then it was probably a bad download on my part. Or wait for someone else to download it.

The PS1 exclusive music is redbook or something similar I think, which is why you hear it along with the sound effects.
The RAR opens up fine on my end. How odd. :/
The big question now is how to convert it all into an ISO, since I ripped this with CloneCD.

I'm not sure if that's possible, or if the subchannel data would survive the conversion...

What's the situation on PS2 ISOs? Are emulators to the stage now where they are impeccably spot-on? (I'm asking as I have no clue)

We have a 100% working PS2 Rayman 2 Revolution Emulator + ISO set up. Just dig through the Forum from about 3-4 months back I think.
Ah I love this forum, no one really looks down on this sort of thing.

Well, it means we can play the games that aren't released in certain countries.
For example, this mean I can finally play Kingdom Hearts - Re: Chain of Memories! WOOT!
And I can play Japanese only games, thus
ni hon go wo hana su ko to ga de ki ma su.

I have a original Rayman 2 psx game, BUT, mine freezes on my ps1 at the tomb of the ancients, so i don't know if it matters if i would rip it.

Does it matter if i use an other R2R iso than this one?
On the time bunnieblaster uploaded it i was still using my old pc so i didn't download it, because i could never play it on that thing.

Depending on the disc-ripping software you’re using and the settings you have it on, it may be possible to get a good image from a slightly faulty disc.

It doesn’t matter where you get it from, as long as it’s a good image.

I'm using CloneCD to rip a img file and then i use UltraISO to convert it to a bin and cue file.

Yes Zophar servers are really slow, but it is the only place to get through it without the private trackers for torrents. But not for 12 hours to download 400MB file unless you have a really shitty connection.

Are they that slow?
I downloaded R2 PSX in less than a half an hour.

Really? I didn't even know about it... I need to give it a try as soon as possible!
Also, this topic reminds me of my idea of a Rayman ROM/ISO index (preferably with the emulators properly configured) for everyone to download them without having to browse hundreds of annoying emulation websites. Maybe we could start the list here, upload all we can to Megaupload or anything else and when we'd have enough of them I would create a dedicated section on the website
