Who?
Heh, using my basic French knowledge I at least was able to figure out what I was supposed to do. But when I click on "Rayman Designer"
Hmm, Collector seems to be almost the exact same as Forever except with a fancier autorun and three minigames.

Haha, Rayman Collector is not rare at all, it's been rereleased multiple times. There's at least two budget release versions in DVD cases plus the original release.
It's just a French only release so it's hard to find for anyone to get if they don't have a credit card to buy things from Europe internet sites or live overseas to pick up in the stores.
When I was in Paris a year ago, I saw a few copies of Rayman Collector for 9.99 Euros, but I had already bought it from Amazon.fr a year or two previous to that, so I didn't need anymore.
Just what sucks is there is no English release in the UK, US, Canada, or Australia that has all of the stuff Rayman Collector does. Too bad Collector is missing the Intro and Ending movie from the CD, as that's the main thing from preventing it being the "ultimate release." Still can't believe there are so many PC releases for Rayman missing those movies. Aren't those important afterall?!

It pretty much is, but it also has "Rayman 60 Levels" which were never available in any English release. That's the main reason I bought it. Try to install those if you can, I don't have it in front of me but it should be under "60 Niveaux" somewhere. It also has the Making of Rayman 2 videos (Not in English), but those have appeared on multiple releases I think, and maybe even a Tonic Trouble PC release.

But what does Collector have that's so special? I was just playing it and I can say it's almost the exact same.

Gerbil, read the VERY first post, that's where i've got that information....

Oops, sorry, I updated my post after you replied.
It just has Rayman 60 Levels (Or 60 Niveaux), on the disc which is like it says: 60 more levels. They are somewhat like the 24 well-made levels in Rayman Designer, being designed by professionals at Ubisoft instead of the messy or badly designed levels from Rayman By His Fans.
And those three minigames, which are really dumb, but that's the only thing that makes it better than Rayman Forever.
Rayman4321 wrote:Gerbil, read the VERY first post, that's where i've got that information....
Ah I see. What he said just isn't entirely accurate though, because while I guess you can consider it "rare" in the US, it's been widely released in France. You never know, more copies may have been produced of Rayman Collector than Gold or Forever since Rayman is of course very popular in France and the game is a budget release there under the "hits collections," meaning it has sold many copies and continues to.
I just don't consider it rare if the game is readily available for import, especially if it's a shovelware title in another country that keeps getting rereleased. I mean the only way Collector is going to be in the US here is if someone takes a used copy and drops it off at a game store that sells PC games, but there's hardly any chance of that.

I don't think Sega gives a shit if you download a BIOS to play Rayman.

This was a different instance. It was quite a while ago and I don't remember where.

And I don't like to do illegal downloading Plum. However let's face that Rayman Collector can be considered now a Abandonware game (At least for Rayman 1 - PC [not the PSX version] as well the other 3 games). Also if people here just want to test, then go ahead.

Yeah, I'd agree the first Rayman has pretty much become abandonware for the first part.
I always feel like, if companies don't want to make their games or versions of their games easy to access and play, then they shouldn't complain if people download an ISO.

Just some facts I've picked up.
1. Now if someone who speaks french, can find the titles of three mini-games, and translate the titles of them, we can know what the titles are.
2. Rayman Collector was rereleased and combined with Rayman By His Fans to make Rayman 100 Niveaux.
3. Even though they are in French and without the intro plus the end movies, Rayman Collector has the Rayman 1, Gold(24 levels), Designer(mapper), and By His Fans files. All you need is to have the three discs for them, install them, and you have three more games from Rayman Collector. Although you can install the other three games separately, your choice.
4. There isn't a page about Rayman Collector, French with Rayman, or English with Rayman on Raywiki.
5. We probably already this: Rayman collector is much like Rayman Gold(24 levels). Greater than Rayman 1 design, but not as ingenious as the 24 levels in Rayman Gold.
Like the info?

Yes we all know that, it's been mentioned here hundreds of times, and it was released everywhere not only in Germany and I have it and so does Tehrunescape.
