Re: Current ideas to improve the forum
It kind of messes up the forum layout ever time it expands... but that is just every time I see it on a forum.

Re: Current ideas to improve the forum
Spoiler tags could be used on the PC Documentary thread; each year could be hidden behind a seperate spoiler tag. It would make it easier to find specific years and events without having to scroll down and whatever. I also sometimes wish that I could put parts of my posts behind spoiler tags (long rant-like paragraphs, lists of evidence for theories and so on), and it would be good if we could hide our sigs behind spoiler tags so that we could have extra-large sigs that don't get in anyone's way unless they want to see them (and click on them). And if Rayman 4 comes out, we'll definitely be needing spoiler tags, because not all members will play it immediately, and those that don't are unlikely to want to completely stay away from the forum until they do. And if we're discussing other games, films, books or whatever, we may wish to put certain things behind spoilers to avoid ruining them for people who haven't finished them...
~I think we should have spoiler tags. Apologies for the above wall of text.

Re: Current ideas to improve the forum
I haven't experienced spoiler tags, so I don't really know what you're talking about, but by the sounds of things they sound quite pointless. Besides, if someone didn't want to read any information about ie. Rayman 4 if it was coming out, then they could just simply not go on that topic.

I think what he means is that the information is hidden, but if you click it will show it, like a spam comment on YouTube.
Re: Current ideas to improve the forum
But clicking's a waste of valuable forum time.

It's actually really good for if you're writing something really long. Putting it in a spoiler tag means it doesn't strectch the page.

I don't like the idea of spoiler tags. I mean, everybody knows you can't help clicking them even if you haven't played the game yet
Re: Current ideas to improve the forum
I want our usernames to be white again, not yellow. I like black with white, and with the boldness it had. Also those ranks! I want them too. : D You know, Mega Post, Giga poster, etc.
Re: Current ideas to improve the forum
Rank's like those from Neo would be great.
But the text should stay yellow.
And maybe some more smileys, and.... hidden egg's at easter?

Try not to get gimmicks as you did with November and December.
I messes some browsers up.

Re: Current ideas to improve the forum
Only crappy browsers on old computers though
Re: Current ideas to improve the forum
Actually, it crashed my Firefox on Windows Vista & Windows 7 64-bit. I had to view this forum via IE 64-bit to avoid a crash. An error with the interpretation from 32-bit (Firefox being a 32-bit program). I imagine there are probably updated snow effects out there that wouldn't crash 32-bit browsers on 64-bit OS'. It's still bullshit with how Flash doesn't even have a version for 64-bit browsers yet (well, it's in beta right now).

Re: Current ideas to improve the forum
It drives FX 3.5's scrollbars crazy, and also Chrome 4's.
Re: Current ideas to improve the forum
I didn't have any problems with the snow effect, and I have both Firefox and Win7 64-bit.

Re: Current ideas to improve the forum
I remember browsing PC with four different computers (using XP, Vista and Seven) and five different browsers (Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Safari and IE) and nothing ever went wrong. At worst it used a little more memory but I can't help wondering why you guys had problems with this script
