To me, it depends upon if there's some kind of ID or whatnot tied to the wallet.

I've actually found around 670€ with a friend of mine, just throw out onto the street, last year I think. No wallet, no ID, no envelope, just plain sitting on the sidewalk. We ended up keeping it and share it 50/50. Now, before you might start bashing me, put your hand on your heart and tell me honestly: if I knocked on your door and asked you whether that money, without no actual proof whatsoever, is yours, would you say no?

I actually would say no, in case you were a detective or something.

I would say no. (Unless it was mine of course.

3rd option. Were I to find a wallet on the ground, I don't think I would ever pick it up.

Same, if it has the person's ID, then I'd use that to find them Othrwise, I'd keep it.
Or, keep the money, and return the empty wallet...

That is a good idea.
I would put all the money in the bank though, so hey would never find the evidence...

If you knew about this discovery then you'd either be some police officer or you'd've witnessed the scene. So in this circumstance, I'd be stupid to say no.

Except for a rather suspicious $5000 in-payment...

I keep it, unless there is an name written in the wallet, or it is on TV.

Yeah, if you want to get rid of all the evidence, you're better off hiding the bills somewhere.

I'd rather give it to the police as well, not that i'm a moral knight or something, but stealing money where people worked hard for just feels wong.

WTF? If it was on tv, then surely it wouldn't be real? You'd just stick your hand through the glass and grab-oh-THERE'S NOTHING THERE.

I meant that the guy (or women) that lost the money woudl be on tv.
My message wasn't really clear in that.

I don't think such a report would ever be broadcasted though.

The money would be owned by everyone.
