If I remember correctly Ubi credits really exist, if you play an Ubisoft game using you Ubisoft Connect account you can complete missions which will make you earn these Ubi credits that you can use to buy rewards for the Ubisoft games you own

Well, at least they used the phrase "couldn't care less" correctly. I nearly consider that a bonus these days

Does anyone plan to buy the
Captain Laserhawk artbook (I wonder if it's worth creating a page for it in the wiki).

I never actually commented here, but I just wanted to share my opinion on this.
Personally I have no interest in this show or the concept of it, due to the way they portrayed Rayman just being cringe for want of a better word. I feel like they are making silly decisions to take a family friendly character like Rayman and then do this with him. It was one thing to be suggestive like in Rayman 3 with some jokes, but this is just silly in my honest opinion. It even feels like they just took the Rayman character and made him do things, without having the foggiest idea who Rayman even was.
Let's imagine a kid who isn't even 10 years old yet, who really likes Rayman, hears about this show and wants to watch it due to Rayman's appearance in it, only to see Rayman doing cocaine amongst other NSFW stuff.
It's another story when it's something like South Park (which I watched along with other shows of this nature), since the parents are aware that the show is for adults, but this inconsistency is honestly a silly idea for many reasons, this above example just being one of them. I have no interest in watching this, and I would echo what Murfy said in Rayman 3 about the creators when Rayman could fly with his hair, though I would go further than paint chips and say the French dialogue is more accurate here.
I hope other people who are into the show enjoy it (I'll agree to disagree), but it just isn't my cup of tea to say the least.

Interesting take, there are a couple of things I want to add.

I don't see it that way, I think there are some aspects that imitate or echo previous iterations of Rayman from the games, here are some examples:
- Rayman at some point was Ubisoft's family friend mascot. / In the show he is the family friendly poster boy for Eden's propaganda.
- In R2 is implied that Rayman is not from the Glade of Dreams. / In the show he is a refugee from Dimension X.
- Rayman, the Rabbids and Ed (Tonic Trouble) are from the same universe. / In the show all of them come from Dimension X.
- In Origins, Rayman and company where used by the Magician to power up his evil empire / In the show Rayman is used by Eden for the benefit of their empire.
- Rayman has educational games for young players. / In Captain Laserhawk Rayman has a show specifically targeted to kids.
There is also that part that IMO is a reference to R3,
where one of Rayman's hands separates from the main body to make a surprise attack and then Rayman reprimends it for being "naughty" (pretty much reminds me of Rayman's hands going their own way to scare a red lum and cause trouble). Maybe some of these connections are a bit of a stretch, but I highly doubt that the people behind the show didn't do their research on the Rayman IP, I think it was more about they having a different vision and plans for the character.

I understand that family friendly characters being reimagined in adult shows and depicted in NSFW content can be troublesome for parents (many parents probably dislike Cas van de pol for doing things
like this
), however the show is not even meant for children anyway, it is probably meant for people that enjoyed these IP's as kids and now are adults.

I get that you can easily look at it from a different perspective and I will respect that people can appreciate it for what it is. For me though it's just weird to think that the game I played before, with that innocent character, has become this. It doesn't click with me, even though I can see that they were trying to line things up from things that were previously implied and do appreciate that they tried to make certain things connect. I feel they could have done something very different than this with Rayman.
I know that the show was made for adults also, but the reason I made this argument is because a kid won't know any better, nor might a parent who doesn't look into it. If a kid is just innocently playing Rayman Origins or Legends, then hears Rayman is in some cartoon and they want to watch it, expecting the same innocence, they're going to get this instead. Not only would it be bad on the kid who wants to watch the show if the parent had to say "no you can't watch that, it's not for you" while they innocently just want to watch their hero Rayman save the world, or the parent might not know any better and leave their kid to watch the show unsupervised. That's the issue with mixing a character who is well known from family friendly to suddenly being so explicit.

From what I understand from Portuguese, it seems it's a fan animated series based on the CL universe...
I'm not really that interested tbh, but I'll watch the teaser trailer just for curiosity

I think it's a great show and Rayman's story is the best part, though I don't like when he becomes Ramone because then he stops looking like Rayman at all lol. I like the flashback where he has his game design and we hear Origins music.

I've been think about Rayman in the show quite a bit lately, tbh I don't know how to feel about it anymore. On one hand it feels a bit tasteless, like "HAHAHA look at kids character do drug! look at him say bad word! look at him shoot gun," like just edgy to be edgy. (also I cant stand the ramon stans, hes not hot guys, wake up.) But on the other hand, it's so stupid and dumb that I like it in a dumb-fun sorta way.
Whay do yall think about CL's Rayman now?

Yep. Been feeling this for about a month now. It’s not “edgy” or “cool” defacing rayman like this

People will do that whenever there is a mass murderer, just some people’s brain works differently I suppose

About my profile picture, when I chose it I was tired and I thought it would be kinda funny, but now it's just a little bit cringe to me. I really don't want people thinking I'm a Ramon simp.

You seem to be tired quite a lot
Jokes aside, CL rayman is definitely not the best rayman, and I’m tired of seeing edits of him on my fyp. Don’t worry Lyndo, your rank will be back to normal in a few days anyway

I swear if I see one more Ramon edit or cosplay or shipping fanart with Bullfrog I'm going to eat my Rayman Youtooz
Thanks for telling about the rank going away soon, I was thinking about contacting a mod and having them remove it
EDIT: If you make Ramon edits and cosplays, I don't think that's a-ok! If you're doing what makes you happy that's all good.

I think I was tired when I wrote this post, and other posts from around this time, I wish I could edit another post of mine from this time, put someone replied to it, so oh well

It’s alright, and I never judged you over it
Also, the worst part about the CL stuff: it isn’t that people just find him funny, they are genuinely obsessed with this character. Somehow even more dedicated than the main rayman fanbase

The Ramon cosplayers are scary
(EDIT: This is a joke, if you like cosplaying that's totally cool

)
