In my opinion, it should definitely be allowed; Defeating Reflux in DOTK, for example, is a real pain in the butt when you're not allowed to lose a Point every now and then. I would prefer it though if the amount of Points lost, intentionally ot not, is kept to a minimum.

Also, TOTL Part 3 is no problem now that I think about it... After all, you could finish Part 2 with 0 Points. If you were to kill none of the Hoodflyers, technically speaking, you wouldn't lose Points since you're at 0 already.

I think losing points is fine, as Maz said, Reflux is a great opportunity to lose points.
