I spent quite a long time getting through The Land of the Livid Dead! The chest levels required accuracy, but they were only one stage long so they were a lot more fun than frustrating.

The Land of the Livid Dead is a very difficult place to get through in Origins. That is my least favorite world in Origins.

I actually loved The Land Of The Livid Dead, it was difficult, yes, but it felt like a proper final challenge.
That and the music was awesome.

There are some really, insanely hard flying sections in the latter that require a ridiculous ammount of precision, and leaves absolutely no room for fuck-ups. Livid Dead doesn't leave much room for this either, but it is still possible to not get a jump perfect and still live.

I'll be honest: I was hoping the Rayman Origins' Land of the Livid Dead to be much more challenging than any previous level. I found the Moskito levels of Moody Clouds way harder.

It felt out of place with the levels theme and well, it was repetitive.

I didn't find the moskito levels that hard. OK, it gets quite hard when you try to get the lums medals, but still I got WAY MORE TROUBLE with the 9th treasure chest and the Land of the Livid Dead.
Still, all of those aren't the level I hate the most, they were quite challenging, and indeed, the music is excellent.

The level I hated the most? Fickle Fruit. I-freaking-HATE-those-ORANGES! x0x'

Especially the last Moskito level when Rayman and his friends were chasing the Teensie.

Personally I HATE Band land. I hate the slippery platforms. It took me like a year to beat the 1st level ( I suck at Rayman 1 )

The Longest Shortcut. Desert of the Knaaren was much more dangerous but not so difficult as this level.

The Longest Shortcut is annoying, granted it has some clever platforming, but it kind-of breaks the flow in a way.
It feels like an intermission of sorts.
I'd rather have had the clever platforming here be used in tandem with some of the more creative action sequences, as opposed to being completely isolated in one world.

I had been there too I couldn't get past the Trumpets.

Band Land is nothing compared to Picture City.
