Well, since the game is in pre-production now, I'm looking forward to seeing it in 2020...
I love BG&E and I'm excited to see this is happening, but I wish they'd just keep quiet until they have something substantial to show instead of teasing something that is far in the future. Plus, as far as I know, BG&E2 has entered pre-production a few times already, so it's entirely possible this iteration won't reach full production either.

Good to see new things emerging at least. Now only time will tell until we see the game surfacing for real.
So we already have the name of who we think is supposed to be the main character, Dakini, neat

Yeah, that art is mesmerizing.
Currently watching this. Very interesting so far.

Well it certainly gives me a reason to replay the first one.
I notice a drastic change in art direction too. While the first one went for a more cartoony, almost disney-ish approach, this one definitely seems to be focusing more on realism, and seeing that with the humanoid animals looks really awesome.
Though for those that have played Beyond Good and Evil 1, I find it strange that this one will be a prequel because of the cliffhanger from BG&E 1 where Pey'j grows that spore-like Dom-z thing on his hand.

Indeed, but I am curious to see how this turns out. It's certainly a lot different turn than the older BG&E2 trailer had involved. Though that was what, almost ten years ago already? About nine?

Definitely different. Also, it seems that the green eyed character is called Dakini. Is she Jade's mother? Or other relative?

Anyone here managed to register to the Space Monkey program through mobile? When I click register nothing happens...

For now I think that's probably going to be her mother, and the mechanic we saw before in an artwork (with little Pey'J) her father.
In any case, I'm still not sure about the online thing and the fact that they're not resolving the cliffhanger from the first game... but this was the best announcement and trailer of E3 so far. So glad Ancel is back to making worlds and stories.

Watching that trailer though it's interesting how the change in art style happened at this point.
As for the space monkey program I still have to sign up; I tried on pc yesterday but I couldn't get it to work for some reason.

À propos of nothing, I just got around to trying out this unused/abandoned level in the first game:
They make it look/sound decent in the video, but when you try the raw level yourself it's amazing how hacky and unfinished it is! You can get at it with a hacked savefile (for the PC version – extract into the main directory).
