how many years? well, 4 years, with one hour lessons twice a week (approximately) but i only know basic things.

Wow! Your english is very good, considering that from French you have to learn a whole new tense, and stuff

Yes. Unfortunetly, it depends not only on your ability, but also the ability of your teacher. My teacher is quite good, but i've seen others who are totally rubbish

I've studied english for 5 years, but in fact I didn't learn anything at school for one year (my english teacher was loose)...

Thats right i can speak ok, and listening (reading) i find really easy, but i can't write. well, i can introduce myself, say a bit about myself and thats about it for conversation
