how many years? well, 4 years, with one hour lessons twice a week (approximately) but i only know basic things.

It takes time to learn french... But you know, I've only studied english for 5 years (this is my 6th year)

Yes. Unfortunetly, it depends not only on your ability, but also the ability of your teacher. My teacher is quite good, but i've seen others who are totally rubbish

I've studied english for 5 years, but in fact I didn't learn anything at school for one year (my english teacher was loose)...

i can speak ok, and listening (reading) i find really easy, but i can't write. well, i can introduce myself, say a bit about myself and thats about it for conversation
