It was a nice guess, but not correct!
It was Arthur: The Quest for Excalibur. It's an interactive fiction game because you control the characters by commands! I think it's very interesting how these kind of games evolved into the graphic adventures.
Let's try with an easier one.

I've heard that in the 90s developper rigged sports games out of spite, and the biggest example was NBA Jam 94 so I'm gonna try that.

Castolo is a fictional striker who appeared in the Pro Evolution Soccer series (known as Winning Eleven in Japan). His popularity grew during the PlayStation 2 era. When players created a new team (often in Master League mode) to compete in various tournaments, Castolo was arguably the best player in the default squad. The Pro Evolution Soccer series has since been rebranded and officially no longer exists under that name, as it was replaced by eFootball in 2021.

Question 4 Rayman 1 was considered especially difficult by many players. Games were harder those years, but there's a particular reason behind that difficulty... What's that specific reason?

They would make games more difficult to extend a game's "lifetime". It's the same reason why in MMOs like World of Warcraft, quests would sometimes take you all over the world: to waste your time and delay your sense of completion. This archaicness actually stems from the arcade hall, where you still had to insert coins to be able to play the game (not talking about Rayman 1 specifically). By increasing the difficulty, you delay the completion of the game and increase their playtime. In the old business sense it would also allow more people to watch you play the game and make them more willing to try it theirselves.

What you have explained is correct and is applicable for many games of the time, but I am looking for a much more specific reason regarding the development of Rayman 1. You can try again.

Indeed
Generally speaking, older games are harder than modern games (not only to extend its lifetime, but also because games weren't as casual), but Rayman 1's lack of proper playtesting made the game much harder than it was actually intended to be.
