The 'big announcement' was just a Game Of Thrones videogame, I'm fucking done. This VGX is terrible.

I'm only coming for the Nintendo announcement that I'm hoping for. I'm hoping the trending unlock is it-

-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND it's just Game of Thrones: Telltale Edition. OK, I don't care myself.

And... it got WORSE FOLKS. Pewdiepie is on...

I knew Pewdiepie was going to be on, but when he came up, I literally turned the volume down, and went off to get some chocolate biscuits and milk (which I am now enjoying). He was done just as I got back. :V

At least Dying Light looks fun.

It's funny because I was just talking about how people shit their pants over someone who just plays video games.

Well, at LEAST Naughty Dog won Studio of the Year. Well deserved. I would of lost hope for humanity if Rockstar won.

Agreed, Naughty Dog is much superior to Rockstar, they already won the GTA V award, they certainly don't need another one.
The VGX is almost over, and I can say, thank fucking god.

And before anyone tells me I hate GTA V or anything - I don't. But Rockstar pulled that stunt with the online mode of GTA V, basically releasing an unfinished game and holding back a crappy portion of the game for high review scores and sales. That's pathetic.

Also, notice how for all of the "Character of the Year" nominees, Trevor was the ONLY one who didn't have a fun little animation made for him. Instead, it just showed some B-reel of him. Rockstar is probably the richest company there. A small indie studio made one (Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons was a nominee, and had a cute little animation). Yet the company with the fastest selling game ever didn't. This is why I dislike Rockstar these days. They do not give a fuck about anything as long as they are loaded. They are NOT the studio of the year. There is no argument. Naughty Dog really deserved it, and I'm sure the Irrational Games and the creators of Gone Home deserved it too.

When the GTA V concert starts, I might just mute it and go watch Shokio's new video which is likely filled with annoyance with Nintendo. :V

AND I left watching the VGX live, FUCK THAT shit. It's almost over and this is the worst experience I've had in a long time, fucking horrible.

The GTA V concert was incredibly cringe-worthy as well. No Crash Bandicoot announcement, which I expected... I'm so fucking done, this was a HORRIBLE experience. This is my first time watching a 'VGX' (use to be VGA), and will probably be the last time, never have I seen something so terrible, everything put me to sleep.

I'm going to be honest - there were SOME good things for me:

-Dying Light is ZombiU with a budget. Which is good.
-Broken Age looks really cool (I've never seen it before, only heard of it). And announcing that Elijah Wood is playing a role was really cool, as I quite like the guy. His performance seems brilliant in that game.
-No Man's Sky looks incredibly interesting, especially coming from the guys who made Joe Danger. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.
-The Thief looks great from the preview they showed before the show.
-Naughty Dog won Studio of the Year. The balance of the world is correct.
-The new Titanfall mechs look very cool.
-Reggie spoke of his petition again, solidifying it's legitimacy.
-Reggie in general.
-The award animations were entertaining, as usual. I especially loved the Edward Kenway one.

Most of these are little things though. Overall, this was terrible.

I'm going to go to bed now, and likely end up having a sexually charged conversation with a friend over Skype. I could use that after this frustrating borefest.

I watched Shokio's entire video. I totally agree, a huge missed opportunity for Nintendo.

But what I really found sad is how Nintendo along with very few other announcements, were probably THE BEST thing there, which is really sad.

The addition of Cranky Kong isn't bad at all. In fact, I found it a pleasant surprise when I saw his play style was very much inspired by Ducktales. And when that was being shown, I was like "oh, that's pretty neat!". It's just that:

-We already knew Cranky Kong would be playable due to the European box art for the game being leaked.
-Tropical Freeze looks like a great, even fantastic game. But it's not the most interesting. And certainly does not appeal to the VGX audience.
-It was ALL NINTENDO SHOWED. Yeah, Reggie threw people like myself a bone, by mentioning his petition. Helping to spread awareness of that. And I expect the announcement of a new Metroid really soon after that giant fucking cock tease. But...Cranky Kong was NOT world premiere material, for fuck's sake.

And like Shokio said - Reggie isn't the one to be mad at. He's the real world face of Nintendo, a charismatic guy, and an extremely talented business man. If he had a say in what was announced, it would NOT of been Cranky Kong. No, this was all Iwata. I love Iwata and all, but lately, he's been making bad decisions. And I hope he stops soon. Because I don't want to be in a position where I'm saying "he has to go". Because I love the guy. He's charming, and has done great things for Nintendo in the past. But this was yet another huge missed opportunity.

EDIT: Also, those presenters were fucking atrocious. Seriously, I knew something was going downhill when a genital joke was made in less than 5 minutes. I was really hoping Reggie would just take over the show or something. He provided the best genuine entertainment, and some pretty encouraging words for Nintendo fans and aspiring businessmen.

I made a topic about the details pertaining to why and how we can get Reggie as a playable character in Smash, with a link to the necessary petition. I really want this to happen, more than ever now that Reggie gave it a shout out AGAIN. Plus, we could use some GOOD news.

Eh, I was still expecting much more, to be honest. I was also expecting Sony to announce something that's been long awaited...

So I didn't miss anything spectacular eh?
Hopefully E3 will be better.

That's not 'til June 14, I'd like to hear some good news sooner.
