Sorry, Rayfan, but I have to disagree with you there. Maybe those games don't have guns or blood, but they have pretty cool music and artwork.
I'm not obsessed with guns and blood; you seem to have this "generalising about the other party" thing going on, and it's a little bit iffy. I was going to add Brawl in there, but I forgot. I would have added Skyward Sword, but that did in fact come out about five years now after Galaxy, therefore it didn't need to be mentioned. As someone who has played through every one of those games you mentioned, I'll say this:
Twilight Princess was cool and it had great music, and while it was a good game, it was to be trying too hard in certain areas, and didn't pull it off incredibly well. Also, we can't forget that it was restricted for being also on Gamecube. Maybe if it wasn't for Gamecube as well it could have been something a lot bigger and better.
Brawl kicks all serious ass. Best game on the Wii.
Donkey Kong Country Returns was a good game, and even as someone who's of course also played the originals, I think it was totally worthy. It didn't stand out as anything special to me though, it was just a good game. I personally wouldn't have put it up there on a "Wii's Great Games" list.
I thought Super Mario Galaxy was amazing in every way, and I think Super Mario Galaxy 2 had some even more brilliant concepts. However, I left that off the list because it honestly felt completely unnecessary. It was better than Galaxy 1. How does my reasoning work? It felt like I was playing the same game except with a few new features that they could have just put in Galaxy 1 in the first place. They took a few neat turns, but it let me down a little bit, because I was expecting something much bigger. Plus, many of the levels in Galaxy 2 were hit-and-miss, and they decided to go with the "1-2 stars per Galaxy" thing,, and it felt like everything was flying by too fast.
Metroid Other M: I can basically copypasta what I said about DKC Returns, except maybe a bit better than its previous title. I don't think it stood out a tonne though, but I might put it in the top ten Wii games if I had a list like that.
Kirby's Epic Yarn... ugh, I didn't like that game. I did not like that game at all. It felt like the most gimmicky Kirby game to date, and my least favourite installment in the series aside from Squeak Squad. Great artwork? I would beg to differ. It had some of the blandest looking graphics I've ever seen. Yeah, I get it, the "kiddish yarny style," but it just looked corny and bad in my eyes. The ocean level (totally forgot what it was called) was pretty nice and enjoyable actually, but no, I didn't like the game as a whole. Amazing Mirror and Crystal Shards were my favourite installments in the series; Amazing Mirror with its incredible environments, graphics, music and multiplayer experience, and Crystal Shards... because god dammit it's Crystal Shards. Nightmare in Dreamland was good, Squeak Squad was abysmal, Canvas Curse, while being an abhorrently lolololol idea was actually surprisingly fun, and Epic Yarn was just meh.
Skyward Sword was fantastic, in short. I do however think they could have evolved some more things, like used real voice actors - I know many would beg to differ, but I think it would have added a whole nother level of revolutionary awesomeness.
Out of all of that, I think that if I were to pick all the games in your list that really stood out as being awesome for the Wii, I would probably pick Brawl and Skyward Sword. I'm not forgetting the original Galaxy, but I had added that earlier.
Sarreh about this off topic, I just needed to reply.
