< started to write a follow up to a Rayman creepypasta < wrote last year, after < got in the mood after reading the first 6 chapters of the Godzilla NES creepypasta.
< has already shared the first few paragraphs with some people on skype so < may as well share it with the rest of you here.
I don't want the Treasure

How long has it been since you last heard from me? A few months, half a year? believe it or not, it has almost been a year since I wrote my experience with taking the treasure in Rayman 2. I'd played through the game multiple times prior to that playthrough, and that never happened. The reason it never made it online till it did was due to the fact that I was afraid no one would believe me, but one day I came across the text document I typed up, I read through it, and I uploaded it. There's a problem though... confession time.

I lied.

More specifically, I lied about what I did when I played through the game after the ordeal... I took the treasure, out of godforsaken curiosity. I wanted to see if the same thing would happen again... it didn't... The game went to the oddly humorous scene of Rayman on the desert island with the large pile of cash, and 'the end' appearing on screen, I remember smiling out of happiness, just waiting for the game to return to the question so I could refuse the treasure, and continue the game.

Cut to black, desktop, Rayman2.exe has stopped working.

Pure fear ran through my body. I didn't want to go any further, what I had seen was disturbing enough, I already lost some sleep to it, I didn't want to find out what else was in store for me, what was in store for Rayman and the glade of dreams. I uninstalled the game, and wrote the document detailing my experience, writing as much as I could remember, and believe me I wasn't going to forget any of that soon. The only part I lied about was the ending, I didn't want people asking me to re-install the game and see what other dark mysteries lay in the game. I continued my playthrough on the ds port of the game, arthritis inducing controls and all.

Since then my life actually went down hill quite a bit, my grandfather took a heart attack just days after writing my experience, and died a few weeks later in hospital.. not only that, a week after the funeral I was rushed to hospital after collapsing, and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, spending 3 days in hospital being taught how to treat it. It didn't end there, most likely upset with the passing of grandfather, and having to put up with my diabetes, my mother and sister became incredibly hostile, not just to me but to everyone. What happened to me in the game, it remained a secret to everybody, until I uploaded it onto the internet, of course. My mother and sister still don't know about it, they would just think I'm crazy, heck, part of them already does, I'm sure.

Anyway, when I uploaded the document, curiosity hit me again... humanity's greatest flaw, as I like to call it these days. Now I wanted to know what lay beyond the crash, what the game wanted me to see, the hidden story of the great escape.
< Already thinks these first few paragraphs are better and better thought out than the original pasta this is following up.

Hm, < doesn't mind visits from <'s relatives, but < isn't really happy about having to sit for a long time without being able to do much, seeing as it is <'s parents doing the talking, and < is just there by necessity.
