A cave-like crevice inside a hollow tree with spider's webs and three bouncing eyeballs (wth!). Jano himself is also there, but not anymore if you've beaten him, I believe.

It's a hollow part of cave, with when you are facing the door, a cliff-like elevation to the left. Two magic Sphere pedestals sit to the left and right of the door, which is a one-eyed beast with big fangs. There's holes in the walls from which Chenilles may spawn. Atop the elevation on the left is a hole in the wall that leads to a tunnel leading to other parts of the Cave, where the Magic Spheres can be found.

The Woods of Light? Are you sure? I haven't seen a Purple Lum in the PC version.

Though I once read somewhere in the Wiki that in other versions there is a Purple Lum in one of the first areas that does lead to some secret area, leading to a minigame, correct?

It is located in the end of the level in the Sega Dreamcast version, just in front and up to the two walls. The Purple Lum leads Rayman to the Globox Village.
