I got told that Sticker Star was a desilusion. Is it even worse than Super Paper Mario?

And I must agree about Thousand Year Door. I 100%ed close to the end of 2012 and it was a fantastic experience. I loved every bit of this game. Bonetail was challenging, but I managed to beat it first than Shadow Queen. :)

As a standalone experience I though Sticker Star was enjoyable. It definitely had the best soundtrack and paper-feel in the franchise but missed having an interesting story. The new Mario & Luigi seems to look very good though.

I am glad you liked it. It was really amazing game and probably in my top 5 Mario games. Sticker Star is just bad. My brother wasted 40 € on that game :(
I myself liked Soundtrack of Super Paper Mario alot better then Sticker Star.

Yes it was the worst. I found the Shadow Queen a real tough battle.

Again, Sticker Star is most definitely not a bad game. It has its own charm. However, most people are blinded by the fact that it is "too" different fron the other entries. Having no partners, no exp thus no level up and no story are common examples people point out. The game is graphically beautiful looking with its cardboard-cut-out environments and characters. If one is looking for an enjoyable experience, Sticker Star delivers that for certain.

Right, on with Legends...

Ah, Hunch is booning those who use the incorrect terminology once more, this'll be interesting.

I was merely using that terminology because other people had. I just assumed they were called vikings. I apologize if I used the term incorrectly. If they're called differently or if it's a matter of capitalizing the V, please tell me. I do want to make sure I have it right from now on.

Barbarians.

Yeah. It seems so obvious to me now. I don't know why I got confused there.

Hunchman did that with me when I first saw Barbara so I wouldn't worry about it Gwee. Though there is a significant difference between the two.

Yeah, I thought about it more and I can see where the differences would be. Barbarian is basically a way to describe someone who is unruly, aggressive, and uncivil. Vikings have more dignity to their name. Plus, Barbara's name is a pun on barbarian. So, yeah. Hard to make that same mistake twice.

I liked Sticker Star, maybe because it didn't bother on throwing so much "dimensional" bullshit at us, and felt more like a nostalgic Mario game. I disliked Super Paper Mario... it wasn't a Paper Mario game at all... and it was too focused on the plot... lots and lots of walltext about a corny love story between two characters that have nothing to do with Mario.

Mr L is the proof that, in order to easily manipulate the audience and make it believe that a character is cooler, you must dress him in black, that's it.

The combat in Super Paper Mario is just awful and stupid. Not RPG at all. The helpers? forgettable.

That's my opinion, though, a lot of people seem to LOVE Super Paper Mario for what it is.

However, I must agree that Paper Mario Sticker Star has it's flaws. Is not predictable, to the point that some secrets are almost impossible to find without a guide, and the development team just played it safe with the characters,as there's no new faces at all, just regular characters from NSMB.

Still, I had lots of fun with it. It was hilarious and the puzzles are enjoyable. As a portable game it is excellent, as a paper mario game... well... it's not the "worst", Super Paper Mario was so corny and unplayable it was the worst for me. Let's call it "the least good".

Mr L is epic, and hating Super Paper Mario because it's not RPG is for me at least wrong reason. Maybe they wanted to try something new and different? I do not think it's something special and original and TYD were alot better but I still have feeling sticker star is just scam. Just like Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts. It seems it's gonna be like good old times, but you get later something boring and uninteresting.
