< has flashed firmwares and unlocked <'s bootloader before, < is just musing if < feels that flashing an update to <'s current custom firmware is really necessary, seeing how < has no qualms with how things are at the moment.
< recalls Ad saying he'd be getting a Nexus 4, which comes pre-rooted and with unlocked bootloader, if < recalls correctly, thus making it easy to jump into custom firmwares and the like.
