Then why did Ubisoft tittle it "Rayman rush"?
why is rayman arena called rayman arena if it has racing?

Because the whole idea of the game was racing, of course.

I. Don't. Know. But at least in Polish "arena" isn't fighting only.
Xenon09 wrote:I've never actually played the game, but aren't the levels different to the ones in Rayman M?
They are different, but they simply has another textures and less objects, are shorter and more linear.

But R4 was saying that this game could have fighting aswell as racing. :?:

HC: No idea. That tittle sounds like it should only have fighting. :|

Since nobody here seems to have played Rayman Rush, we're just making assumptions. If nobody has the game, then we can't be concretely certain of anything.

I have it [in fact I was recording it today] and it's just the racing side in the form of blocky maps and horrific controls. No battle modes or anything here. If it was just the battle side on the other hand I'd imagine it'd be called something like Rayman Bash. The only thing that you could do to attack the other characters is that you can freeze them with freeze bullets.

Other than that it's just a bad port. I'm starting to understand why Gamesmaster gave it a measly 36% years ago.

I have played it (really, H801), and my opinion is worse then Stacey's. Only good thing I've noticed is changing the music after you reach second checkpoint in last lap, however this changed music isn't good. So simply. It's. Not. Good. Ubi could make a 2D game (something like 2,5D Sonic Rivals for PSP are, but without storyline) and it would be better.

Because it is arena based combat and racing too.

Screw Rayman Rush and Arena. They suck! Rayman M is the best!

Is there any difference between M and Arena anyways? Except for the names and the fact that they exist for different consoles?

Wish someone could take screenshots of the Gamecube and xBox versions. Then again not everyone has video capture devices.

Apparently Rayman Arena is more similar to Rayman Rush than M. Rayman Rush consists of only races, if my mind doesn't deceive me.

Since I'm in Europe and shit, is Rayman Arena even worth importing for the gamecube?

If you already own Rayman M, I wouldn't recommend it. There doesn't seem to be much difference, from what's been said here and in RZ.

If you don't own Rayman M, I would suggest buying Rayman M instead. The levels are great, the ideas are great. Although I haven't actually played Arena, I see Rayman M as the better of the two by far.

I've got Rayman M on both PS2 and PC lol. I still find it really disappointing due to the shitty roster.

Why did you get Rayman M on two platforms? I don't see the point... unless there was a difference. :|

Arena got 1 more character and 1 more skin (or was it 2?), but the main menu sucks and the levels are extremely downgraded. The intro is cool, but still...
