EDIT: I've also added a "Rayman Fan-made" category. These are for ranks that are for Rayman OCs (Original/Fan-made Characters), these can be any species so long as they're in the Rayman universe.

Shouldn't go to Rayman Fan-Made then? And the Dark Rayman (the black one with a crossed circle and spiky bands) too.

I personally like Mr Dark Thingamajig's new ranks, especially the underwater one from the post above me. I guess ranks with a background do stand out a bit too much, but then again, I also think we should change the background colour of the avatars once. And maybe the size and shape as well. Pink doesn't look that nice on a green background.

and when you use that anemone in a normal background, you get a Blue Pink anemone, because there are light transparent parts in the image

I very much like his ranks, but I agree with Serza, they don't fit in very well at all with the the rest of the avatars, and the pink thing is kind of a sacred tradition here, it must no be broken... other than this avatar I made that got added, currently the only one without a pink background on the list:



Perhaps I'm just that good.

Maybe there should be allowed to be a small amount of variation like a light gradient, sort of like the picture above with Fear Effect Inferno's rank. I also like Spanex's idea of the cleaner, rounder corners in the other rank topic.
