I just found the most beautiful add-on a server could have: a dynamic world map that even updates player locations and chat messages every five seconds or so:

It's for the Nerdfighteria server, but it's certainly something that all big servers should look into. Don't know if it would be needed for a small-community server like ours would be.

Is that server you guys were talking about still being used? And what is the IP? I seem to be banned by some twat moderator on my server again and I need a back-up... cause I'm getting tired of receiving lengthy bans for leaving a dirt block on someones house.

The owner decided to go all private and remove everyone from the whitelist he didn't know in real life.

Bleh did that happen? Meh not to bothered about them.

I do agree though, only real problem is if it's hosted on the same server as this site.

Well we used to have a creative server which was pretty damn awesome.

Hmm I think we should make a survival one and build it up into an awesome Pirate City and then organise competitions starting simple like "first to make a diamond pickaxe wins". I'm always playing stuff like that on 360 split-screen with friends, and it's barrels of fun!

I've already recreated the Buccaneer in Minecraft. I just need to finish on the sails, but the pixelart is hell. I got one exactly right, but then others are different sizes and I needed to find a way to recreate the Pirate Skull image so it works for that sail, but it just wouldn't fit and I got annoyed and I've never finished it since... but I still have an awesome floating fortress in the sky of my server.

I once made a Zelda-style underground labyrinth with puzzles and everything.

Building is one thing I need to work on -- got any tips?

Looking up "Let's builds" help, i'd personally recommend looking up youtubers Minecrafted and Keralis for that but anyone that gives you inspiration would do.

Or if you want more redstone builds then Sethbling and ACTennis would do the job.
