Nope, I don’t think you can get back to the title screen from the “THE END” screen.

Aww, BOOO! :mefiant:

I have to quit the game just like that?!
I don't feel accomplished if I leave the game hanging from the ending.
How is this even a thing?...

Oh, well... At least I actually beat the game on this computer for once.

Come now, you could always purchase the PC version, beat it and return to the main menu thereafter to achieve that sense of pride and accomplishment.

I guess that could be the bright side of things. :)

Now we'll just have to wait for that Ending DLC.

Don't know if this is entirely noteworthy or even obscure, but I came across this quirk while messing about in Revolution today:

That happened to me before But I did something different.

I provoked the Barrel Pirate by doing a Hit-and-Run. I shot at him several times and ran out through the door to continue the level. While I did that, the barrel pirate's health bar display was still showing and I actually saw the health bar instantly regenerated back to 100%.
That happened as I left and ran far away from that aquarium area.

Hmm, perhaps there's some sort of boundary where the Barrel Pirate will regenerate to full health if you go beyond it? It is interesting. I wonder if the cause behind this can be seen with RayTwol? I ought to boot it up sometime and snoop around again.

Also, to bring back an old discussion:

Done, over a week later. Yeah, the sound-quality leaves a lot to be desired, but I'd already made two failed attempts so I just wanted to get the thing out the door. :baille:
I've just reached this part in Revolution, and it seems that same behaviour is present.

_________

Just beat Revolution again, so let's compare stats from the last time:

A slight improvement, though I think the only notable thing is that I didn't get any Try Agains this time.

Also, a small detail I only just noticed, though I'd imagine some folks already have noticed it also, but in case anyone hasn't. During the credits, the characters only play their instruments when they are part of the song (for example, Ly strums the banjo only during portions in which there's a banjo in the song, otherwise she's just tapping the side of it)

And after a while in the credits, the characters play their instruments out of sync to the music.

The song in the credits sounds even better in Slow-motion.

Also another thing I had noticed with my favourite moment in the Rayman 2 versions:
How differently the animation plays out.

Rayman 2(Playstation version)

Rayman 2(PC version)

Rayman 2(Nintendo 64 version)

Rayman 2(Dreamcast version)

Rayman Revolution

The animations in the PS1, Dreamcast and the PC match.
The ones that are different are in Revolution and the Nintendo 64. And both of them do match.

Ah yes, his jaw-drop face. I actually prefer it, it gives more personality. And it's sort of a way to communicate that realisation that it's not over just yet.

Yeah? Well, so do I. It's so hilarious how he just slowly turns around with his mouth wide open.

Something I've been wondering about, is it possible to create a cheat code so Revolution actually plays music when replaying levels? The whole ambience thing when replaying levels doesn't really do it for me.

Possibly, but there would be a caveat. When you revisit a level, depending on how far you are along in the game, there will be extra enemies for you to battle. The different stages of each level are stored very inefficiently: the entire level is duplicated in the files, with the changes (being more enemies and a lack of music) added to the duplicates. It may be possible to make the game load the original levels every time, but the extra enemies will not spawn and there might be other issues too.

Huh, so when you revisit levels, they actually load a different file to when you initially visit? So perhaps, instead, would it make more sense to try to make the different versions of the level play the music in lieu of ambience?

Wait what? That sounds ridiculous. I wonder if needing a new map to add more enemies is related to the need to move Jano across the map instead of removing him.

Earlier today I was revisiting the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire, and when I got to the area where Umber is, an ambient track began to play. It sounded a little similar to another ambient track that I think can be heard in the sixth phase of the Desert of Knaaren in Rayman 3.

Yeah, a lot of the ambient tracks sound very similar between Rayman 2, M and 3. Rayman M even reuses some directly from Rayman 2. R3's are different, but definitely reuse some of the same sounds.
By the way, is the widget working for you again?

Unfortunately no, and I found out today that even the RayTunes site doesn't work anymore. It's stuck on the loading part. I now have to switch from Firefox to a different browser for both RayTunes its BBcode to work. Adblock Plus is still disabled.

Should I just uninstall Firefox then reinstall it? Unless there's some other alternative.
