Of course not all the names are disappointing, but I find some names like "infernal kitchen" just choppy. The two words just don't sound good together. "Sea of Serendipity" I think is the closest to some other Rayman level names (and I actually quite like the name) other than the obvious Land of the Livid Dead. Another thing I find is that they seem a bit inconsistent. Sometimes the level names are short and simple, sometimes they describe a place and sometimes they seem to have nothing to do with the level.
And of course names won't change my decision on getting the game or not - far from it - but I find that names certainly do add to a game quite a bit

EVERYTHING'S COMING UP MILHOUSE!!!
Also, the music from the Moskito video reminds me of the music for the boss battle with Razoff.

Some pretty cool areas of the desert in this one, it's starting to look more like a less grassy version of Band Land.

Really? Sounds more like the Moskito music from
Rayman 1 to me.
The video clip next to the phrase "MAKE IT OR BREAK IT" seems to show a band land level set during the night. I think there was a level like this in the first game. Also, I didn't realise the Lums played a little tune as you collected each cluster, that reminds me of the Tings from Rayman 1, which also used to play a little tune if you collected them in the right order (a good example would be 'Allegro Presto').
They really have nailed the look, sound and essence of the original game in the Band Land world. Can't wait to play these levels.

Hunchman801 wrote:I'm with RayFan on that one. I actually find the names from the original game charming and poetic, but most of them actually refer to a place, which is not the case for Rayman Origins levels. “Dashing Thru the Snow” isn't the name of the place, unlike “Anguish Lagoon” and “Twilight Gulch”; sure, we have “Allegro Presto” and “Pencil Pentathlon” which are more action-oriented names, but not only are those far more poetic, there are only a couple of them in the whole game. So yeah, I'm a bit disappointed with the level names so far; fortunately, the names of the worlds are slightly better (not that the Desert of Didgeridoos and Moody Clouds are particularly inventive but at least they refer to a place).
Agree with you 100%.
The level names in the original game were charming and actually gave you a vivid depiction of what each level was going to be like. When you hear "Twilight Gulch" you immediately think of dark mountains, stormy ascents etc.
For the record, I do like the level names "Infernal Kitchen" and "Moody Clouds" from the new game, because they are exactly the sort of names that would have fitted perfectly into the first game. "Moody Clouds" in particular sounds like something from one of the later music worlds (i.e Gong Heights or Mr Sax's Hullabaloo). However, "Dashing Thru The Snow" sounds like a level name that you would find in a Christmas-themed
Shrek game, or something daft like that.
Also, I'm not fussed about the level names in the second or third
Rayman games, because I don't really play those games (for a whole variety of reasons).

Holy crap! If Bad Rayman's both in this video AND in the game, that must mean we will get playable Zombie Globox and Zombie Grand Minimus! That's good.

Zombie Globox? Pffft. Give me Spiderglobox with his three-or-four-step-attack and I will be amazed, though.
Usual Spiderglobox tactics:
1)/2) Catch enemy with annoying Glospaghetti
2)/1) Cover enemy with sticky Glosauce
3) Throw a hot Gloven so enemy ends up in it
*4) Eat
