I still hope Betilla will appear in Legends, because I want to know if Barbara is related with her.

Hmm, Barbara is being scorned almost as much as Tily again.

Speaking of Barbara and Tily... has anyone noticed how similar to Tily she sounds?

Except with a lot less giggling, and a general more badass feel to her.

True but obvious, Ubisoft didn't include a new character in RO and fans were asking for more than 5 skins for Rayman, Globox and Teensies (oh my, how many skins the Teensies have? Like between 7 and 9? TOO MUCH). So as they did it for RL, they are focusing advertisement on it. Why not? If there is something new, why not use it?
Moreover, RL looks more badass in terms of gameplay and stuff than RO. Why not use a character who looks more badass than Rayman himself? (When they are not fighting, I find Barbara more energetic than Rayman in this game).

Seriously am I the only one who doesn't care that Barbara has the spotlight? she's a new character... I mean, come on, She beats the Toad King, but Rayman beats the crap out of that Sea Dragon.

It would not have the same fun if it was Rayman rescuing Barbara, that would look cliché and give somehow the feeling of "princess rescuing".

I actually don't mind Barbara's large presence in the trailers. Aside from the "Epic" trailer at E3, I really haven't noticed it, Rayman, himself usually gets just as much screen-time as Barbara. Plus, She also seems to please the players outside of the Fanbase. I used to be neutral about her presence in the game, but now I am starting to like her as a great new addition to Rayman's Universe. Barbara is by far what Tily should have been.

Well arn't some people a little rude today.

I honestly haven't kept up much with Rayman since Raving Rabbids hit in place of Rayman 4. Only started picking up interests since Rayman Origins and Legends.

Well, the reason Barbara has been getting a lot of screen time is because she's a brand-new character. And I agree with Haruka. As much as I would love to see Rayman get better action, it'd be too cliched if Barbara was the one in need of rescue. The whole damsel-in-distress thing has gotten long old. Though, I do have to wonder how Rayman got into the whole situation with the giant toad. I mean, jeez! Poor guy.
I also want to reiterate how flippin gorgeous the animation is. Seriously, this can easily be turned into a movie, or at the very least a short series. Or even just a half-hour short. If someone decides to do a Kickstarter for it, I would totally back it up.

Just watched the E3 trailer. Wow. The animation's so good I'm beginning to wonder if it's almost time for Rayman to return to a new 3-dimensional game like Rayman 2 or Rayman 3. If it's anything like the trailer I think it could definitely work. Knowing ancel though and the success of origins and legends I don't think it'll be anytime soon
Edit: *future success of legends

I personally don't see Rayman returning in 3D too. They found a good forumla in Rayman Origins, and they will stick to that with of course upgrades in future games.

yeah. To be honest though I'm a bit worried the franchise might get a little stale if changes aren't made to future 2D rayman games to set them apart from the others. Rayman Legends is the first ever game to be made that is a direct sequel. For me that was one of the admirable qualities of rayman games, that each game introduces new elements to the universe, yet they are quite different from each other.

If you listen carefuly when Rayman suffers damage, you'll listen a squeak.

I'm suprised that there are still no demos for the other consoles.
