Would you pay more taxes if it meant receiving a pension when you retire?

Yes, the state should guarantee a pension for its citizens.

Yes, but a mixed model would be more efficient (50% state + 50% private pension plan, for example).

No, the state does not have to manage my money; I prefer to have it myself and opt, for example, for a private pension plan.

I used to have a spreadsheet for all the stuff I was supposed to take care of as a mod, but then I started forgetting to update the spreadsheet!

I skipped the spreadsheet part and went straight to the forgetting bit. :paranormal:

I still have to update this poll if I can think of anything.

As for the current one, I had Pfizer ages ago so I'd be able to leave my country if I wanted. Otherwise, they make you test negative for COVID before you can leave.

I had Pfizer ages ago too… It's funny, for the first half of the year we thought so little of the government that it felt like we'd never get there, but now we're saying it was "ages ago"

Agreed completely. It's kind of mind-blowing how eager people are to take issue with it, and for what purpose…? A lot of people just hate being told what to do, even if the thing they're being told to do is really, really good. The pandemic has gone on this long mostly due to the deniers; they've already killed hundreds of thousands or more world-wide with their amazingly poor decisions, yet they think they're defending our rights (just not the right to life apparently)? :fou2:

Bump!

This thread has been dead and buried, but honestly this can prompt some interesting discussions. Does anyone have any decent suggestions for a poll?

Should we ask how many doses of Covid vaccine you ended up having? No? :hap: There are probably a few suggestions that got buried in this thread, but I can't remember them… :oops2:

So I completely forgot about this again after saying I would revive it some months back. I should probably actually revive it this time.

Anyone got any new suggestions? Or anyone happy with any recent buried suggestions? :fou2:

Both of these are pretty valid. I guess the smoking one should have options for whether you smoke, have smoked before, or never smoked in your life?

The social media one is pretty much just going to have numbers as the answers I guess, but people could state in the thread which ones they use if they'd like.

A Christmas themed poll in December makes a lot of sense, that's a great idea Santa! :noel:

I wonder what people would like to poll about then for Christmas, and we can of course postpone the other suggestions for after Christmas. :hap:

We can ask for our favourite Christmas movie, if we prefer Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve, how long do we celebrate Christmas... :)

The movie one could work too, but we'd have to mention some of the most popular Christmas movies with an option named (other), and preferably put them as a series, such as Home Alone instead of having multiple Home Alone movies in the poll.

Yes, of course. We can include 4 popular ones and an alternative option so people have a variety to choose from. Thinking quickly, I've come up with Home Alone, The Grinch, A Christmas Carol, It's a Wonderful Life, Gremlins... and even Die Hard, although that's also a matter of debate. In fact, the survey could even ask if people consider Die Hard a Christmas movie
