I know it sucks, but I just thought I see if you thought this was any better.

I give it 1/10, would not bang.
But nah it's not much of an improvement, the jagged (i.e. not smooth) edges is a slap to the face.

Serza5 wrote:Really this isn't a good start at all. What i'd recommend is looking up tutorials on how to make sigs, to get an idea on how to make a sig not look like the pile of shit you just made.
Indeed. However sig making tutorials aren't the only thing that you need, you also need a vision, somewhere to begin and somewhere to end. Of course you know what I mean.
Master4lyf1 wrote:My sig isn't anything to shout about either as well, I just can't be bothered improving it.
So, I heard you like grammar.
Hm, I should probably make myself a sig again. I'm getting tired of quotes.

Meh, I give up.

Oh dear god, not these guys again! Melt, damn you, melt!
Anyway, Greenbottle, don't receive criticism and then quit. Receive criticism and use it positively. I actually kind of liked your 'G3' sig, but it could definately do with some work. I wouldn't know how, but I think RayFan's suggestion works best - get a good idea first and then try to visualise it. That's what usually makes good things. And if you're struggling to get one, just play around with some effects or ideas that pop up spontaneously, and you might get something you really like. In the end, it's about what you like, not what the others like.
Also, I think RotD could do with some promo sigwork again, RayFan. There's some newer members here and a link with two arrows pointing to it doesn't have the same attraction as a piece of eye-candilicious screenshot material can have.

I'm trying to think what I could do to finish this.

I think you need to add some sort of blending effect to the edges of things, like your text obviously. Add a shadow or something, it'll look a thousand times better.

Hmm, you're right! I should do something about this. The problem is, making an ROTD sig is damn hard.

Did you do anything to it besides add text to it? It's the best of your sigs but it doesn't look like you did much too it.

Umm... No, actually. There's not much more paint can do.

How are we supposed to actually take you seriously if you're using fucking MS Paint?

Firstly :
That's actually not bad for paint quality
Secondly :
Stop using paint for sigs.
Paint is only good for drawing pics like Dolan. You need to upgrade to more professional software to make sigs, I swear that sig isn't perfect and it's the best paint will ever do.
We've recommended GIMP above because not only does it run like photoshop but it's free to download.

Paint is the complete reason why I gave up in the first place. It had nothing to do with criticism.

Seriously? That's like saying you should give up traditional drawing because you don't have your preferred style of pencil.

What do you expect me to do? My parents won't freaking let me download anything. So I can't use GIMP or Photoshop or anything.

Use a USB flash drive, and install following to it:
http://portableapps.com/apps/graphics_p ... _portable/
I can assure you that this won't touch the operating system itself, if it's your parents' PC.

Do you know what a USB flash drive is? Basically this:

You download portable GIMP to that USB-stick and use it from that, and not on the actual system. Get it?

I know what USB is. But my parents are too overprotective.
