OK, since we've missed our deadline, I've decided to extend this contest to the standard deadline (three weeks after the first of the month) in December. This solves two problems: the messed-up schedule, and the fact that November saw no entries! 
Hopefully we get some entries between now and the Winter Solstice.

I've just looked through the list of previous contests, and it seems it's happened before that November was quiet and ended up being extended into December and retroactively themed…
