I thought you were talking about Menezis...
Re: Rayman 2
Umm... OK so why do people say getting the 1000th lum on Rayman 3D is hard? It took me one jump into a little spider (literally first try) and I got it. So now I just have to press quit
I thought it was going to take me days to get it from what I've seen people saying and it took literally 2 seconds. I don't have all the rest of the lums yet but decided to go get this one to see what all the fuss was about
I still do think it's stupid that the spiderweb doesn't bounce you up and that it locks up if you slide down there afterwards but it was actually easy to obtain the lum.
Really clumsy of the people that actually made the game to not notice something that hinders 100% progress unless you know what to do. I can only imagine the people that got to the web that went WTF!? when it didn't bounce. 2 simple yet silly mistakes to make by the developers that ported it.

I think I'm gonna replay Rayman Revolution... yeah it was a fun game and all the levels (excluding The Sanctuary of Stone and Fire), challenges and minigames were fun too!

Re: Rayman 2
Well, they must have simplified the map-loading system in a way that caused it to balk when using an alternative exit from the level. Then when they figured it out they panicked and nerfed the web to try and stop people getting up there. That's the best explanation I can come up with anyway.
Re: Rayman 2
I'd understand that except it's only part 2 of the level it's meant to load into. Maybe since they clearly forgot to test that room, other modifications they'd done to the game must have effected things that they then altered to fix them, but that room just broke in the process and was left that way. We'll never really know the truth I guess but at least the lum is still obtainable as 99.9% would just drive everyone crazy
EDIT: That exit to part 2 in layman's terms is going what the hell is this!? Abort!!! CODE RED!!!

Re: Rayman 2
99.9% would definitely drive ME crazy. That glitch actually bothers me a little, I usually don't like having to go back through a level twice, which is why I take the time to go through such long levels such as the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire to get all the little goodies so that I never have to go back, unless for reminiscing. Or is it possible to quit the level in Rayman 3DS without having completed it the first time and STILL keep the lum?
Re: Rayman 2
You can quit without having completing the level and it will still save yes. That's what I did. Literally when the web doesn't bounce you, jut jump above a small spider on the wall and hold up as you're above it. You'll bounce up from the spider hit and you'll just walk right into the eye socket. I literally jumped once and got the lumThe Jonster wrote:99.9% would definitely drive ME crazy. Re: Rayman 2
I honestly think it's a great port. Revolution probably has just as many if not even more glitches than Rayman 3D.

Re: Rayman 2
and REAL fps drops ( infinite flying level runs at like 6 fps ... on pal at least)Steo wrote:I honestly think it's a great port. Revolution probably has just as many if not even more glitches than Rayman 3D.
also its my fav version of R2 oat
Re: Rayman 2
Yeah the PAL Revolution actually runs at an even lower FPS than Rayman 3D most of the time, yet people complain about the framerate in Rayman 3D a lot more. I don't get why.StelzenBomber wrote:and REAL fps drops ( infinite flying level runs at like 6 fps ... on pal at least)

I can run it at 60fps on my 3DS anyway except for the one glitch where I have to play Beneath The Sanctuary Of Rock And Lava without an overclock otherwise it crashes when I beat Foutch.
I wouldn't mind playing it at the original framerate anyway but I'm only using the overclocked 60fps because I can.

ok....never got that
Anyway yea i never got why ppl complained about the framerate
It always feels like 55-60 fps at all times
on og 3ds and new 3ds
Also rayman revolution doesnt realy run slow on pal, it just has more fps drops ( lys room in the fairy glade is a good example)
Re: Rayman 2
Yeah and it's half of 50hz (25fps max) while the NTSC is half of 60hz (30fps max).
I know what you mean though, the game isn't slower, just the framerate as it was speed optimized.
I only got the crash due to my overclocked CPU but when I disabled the overclock to fight Foutch it worked fine

Re: Rayman 2
Basically the New 3DS has a more powerful CPU (processor)
The extra 3DS power isn't used by a lot of games, but the overclock allows the games to utilise the full power of the New 3DS making it run better.
You can only do it on a modded CFW (custom firmware) New 3DS or New 2DS.
