I just took this picture in Bongo Hills Part 5. Now, do you notice anything strange about it?


If you don't, I watched a walkthrough of Bongo Hills and in that walkthrough in the part where this picture was taken there was one of those flying blue elves. However, for some reason the flying blue elf didn't appear for me there so now I can't get the last cage. What's the problem? Why doesn't it appear? Is there a way to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

That's very strange. I wonder if it's something to do with playing on a PS2. And you've double-checked the walkthrough video? I know that map is a bit confusing.

Actually, even Haruka's video and all other walkthrough videos I've seen of the PS1 version didn't have any flying blue elves in that part either, the video I watched was actually gameplay on the PC version. But then how are you supposed to get that cage at 11:12?

I advise you to look at 11:46.

Edit: What I mean is, I advise you to go to that blue elf on the left when you get off the first sprinkler. Surely you'll find the answer then!

You just need the helicopter and to get that blue elf under the photo board, then you go back to the left of the sprinklers again so long as you have the helicopter to make the jump.

Well, I did that and the cage wasn't there.

Well, I did that and the cage wasn't there.

You need to use the blue elf on the left to get smaller, then travel west back where the first sprinkler is. Then you'll be able to squeeze through the tiny passage after heading left (before the sprinkler travels east). Of course, you have to ride the first sprinkler in that size, but there's another blue elf on the right at the end.

I can't remember can you make that sprinkler move to the left after it travels east or not? If you can, then I guess what you mean is that below the checkpoint, there's that blue elf you have to touch to get small and then get on the sprinkler and after you go all the way to the left before the slit that's how you get there?

You can make the jump to the platform which is left of the sprinkler but you need the helicopter to make it. It's even easier to have the running power too but it's just about makeable without that.

Oh, so you can't make the sprinkler move but you can make the jump from the right to the left, right? I just love Mini Rayman by the way, the texture of him when he's just standing is just so cute

Yes I’m certain. At this point I’m sure you have the helicopter, so go for it!

The cage is to the left from where you start the level, but you are required to ride on the sprinkler to where the photoboard is first and get that blue elf, then go back to the left and make the jump to that platform left of the sprinkler. That will lead you back to where you started but since you're now small you'll be able to fit into the area where the cage is.

oh hey, so I have been collecting Electoons and it seems like it's killing me because they are sometimes hard to find.

You'll get the hang of it in the end, Rayman 1 was never said to be an easy game is all. I was playing it the other day and I even managed to die 5 times on Bongo Hills because it's been a while since I played and I forgot how unforgiving the timing can be

Also the run up walls power is deadly

Yeah, but apart from that, it's really fun in my opinion.

EDIT: Alright, I tested it and you can't even get there with Mini Rayman! But then how do I do it? If I would get that cage, that would be the only one left from the level...

You can get there with mini Rayman, that's how you do it. You can just barely make it but if you wait until you have the running power then it will make it much easier.

So I have to get the running power first and then come back to Bongo Hills to get that cage? Oh man, that sucks. When do you get the running power actually?
