< has never spent quality time with a cat, so < can't say for sure.
< has been startled by them in the streets a few times though, there was one just around a corner, one step further and < might have accidentally stepped on it.

Indeed, though < does understand the concern, as < and ^ might drown out other posts, but < and ^ would probably contribute to any of those posts if < and ^ had any input to give on them.
