Re: Rayman 1
You get it at the end of Mr. Stone's Peaks. Its possible without the running power but you literally have to jump at the very edge of the sprinkler and then helicopter at the perfect time to get him to grab the ledge.
Re: Rayman 1
Alright, thanks. I'll make an update when I get it. Also I'll remember that also, thanks.
Re: Rayman 1
No problem. Talking about this is making me want to play Rayman 1 again

Re: Rayman 1
Is there not another Elf over there that you can use, after you jump from the sprinkler? I'm pretty sure there is, even on PS1.
Re: Rayman 1
On PS1 I never seen another elf apart from the one near the photo board. I usually have to take that elf, go left and then after breaking the cage I take the sprinklers back to the photo board again and get the blue elf to return to normal.
Re: Rayman 1
The one that's at the part where you have to avoid a lot of thunderbolts from the eyes and where there are a lot of Antitoons?PluMGMK wrote: Fri Nov 02, 2018 8:45 pm Is there not another Elf over there that you can use, after you jump from the sprinkler? I'm pretty sure there is, even on PS1.![]()
What I mean is just look at this picture from the PS1 version:

Now look at where the second sprinkler is which is near the end. Behind that are two of those flying blue elves. Ignore the one that's below the checkpoint, I mean the other one which is near that tiny slit. Do you mean that one? If you mean that, that one is there.

Re: Rayman 1
Yes, that's exactly the one I mean. It should be easy enough to get over to that without the running power.
The way Steo was talking, it sounded like he meant that you needed to use the other one and then jump across, which would be very hard. As I understand it, that one is actually there to bring you back to normal size when you're done with the cage.

Re: Rayman 1
Oh yeah I explained it wrong. You go like this:
You jump from the sprinklers and take that elf on the left. The one on the right is actually for when you're done and want to return to normal like Plum said. I was explaining it as it the elf on the left wasn't there for some reason but even if it wasn't then you'd still make it with the running and helicopter powers
But yeah that's how you get it.

Re: Rayman 1
Alright, I actually got how you are supposed to get the last cage. Look at 4:55 in this video of Haruka's.
Now, you see that little slit that you would normally not be able to fit through? Well, how you're actually supposed to get the cage is by going through that slit. And how you can do so is by touching the blue elf that I talked about earlier (behind the second sprinkler, the one that's near the slit) and going through that entire part with the Antitoons and lightning bolts you have to dodge (the one where you have to grab onto those tiny platforms with Mini Rayman) and after you went out of it, you can then hop on the first sprinkler as Mini Rayman and then you go through the slit you would normally not be able to go through and hop on the cloud that takes you with the Tings to the cage! It all makes sense now!
Also it doesn't look like you have to have the running power to be able to get that cage.

Re: Rayman 1
No you don't need it (I had forgotten about the elf on the left) , you do what I said and go back to the left while you're small, that's what I meant. The reason you need to be small is to fit through that space, which is why you're getting small and going back to the beginning.
Glad that you managed to get the cage though.

Re: Rayman 1
Well, I couldn't get it today because today I was only trying to figure out how to get it and while I was trying to do so, it was already late when I figured it out so yeah, I couldn't get it today but I will tomorrow.
Re: Rayman 1
Oh cool. You get the gist of it now anyway at least
I'm considering getting an NTSC PS1 or PS2 and a copy of Rayman 1 for it, just because I prefer the full speed version. I have a modded PS2 but it still doesn't boot NTSC PS1 games. My only choice is popstarter and I think I'd prefer to just own an NTSC console.

Re: Rayman 1
I might be starting a playthrough of Rayman Advance, while on my other channel, which I deleted off the Youtube platform years ago, I didn't finish the game through the playthrough. I plan to do the entire game with no cheats and I will be recording my experience as is, no edits. So if I am collecting a lot of tings for lives on a whole playthrough video, it's because I am a legit and I have a lot of time to just waist. Currently I do not plan to add commentary in the video.
Re: Rayman 1
I still have to play through Rayman Advance myself just for the sake of it since I own the game, but I have played a little then seen and heard how glitchy it can be. I've seen sprite glitches and Jonster even said he fell through the rising nenuphar on Moskito's Nest.

Re: Rayman 1
I cliped through the plum floating on the water many times on Rayman Advance. Not fun.
So I have made progress in my playthrough and had made it through Dream Forest in the first 2 parts which i'l link to bellow. The screen being zoomed in caused me to take some hits, wasn't seeing that coming. I think I started off okay, might be a little rusty with all the Splatoon I been playing.

Re: Rayman 1
That’s unsurprising really, as when I played this game I have had a couple instances of going through the plum, and as Steo mentioned above, one particular nasty instance of me falling through the rising nenuphar. Reminds me that one of my videos of my play through of this game had me starting over bc of Rayman clipping through a plum
Re: Rayman 1
I've went through the plum on PS1 while standing on a nenuphar, but I think that's just the way the game works. I expected Rayman to land on the plum, not fall through it and into the water

Re: Rayman 1
Never clipped through a plum once on the PS1 version, must not be as likely to happen as on the GBA version because I always seem to clip through a plum on the GBA version.
it might be surprising of how well I get through Bongo Hills, which I will record tomorrow, I mastered that stage through Rayman Advance years back and alot of people struggled with the last two stage of dream forest and I got through that pretty flawlessly. I died at least 2 times the whole play of Dream Forest, though I still got some cages to go back and break there.

Re: Rayman 1
It's on The Swamps Of Forgetfulness part 2. If the plum is in the water under the falling nenuphar and you just stand on it, then you just fall right through the plum and into the water. You'd expect the game to realise the plum is there and have you land on it, but it doesn't and I've had that happen me twice so far before learning that I should just jump.

Re: Rayman 1
Then, there is a glitch that if you walk toward a signpost and jump when you are really close to it(stlll going that dirrection) you can go through it which I had done on part 2 of the playthrough once just to show it off.
Edit: Rayman Advance playthrough part 3 available now! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipByjmO ... e=youtu.be
The video is still processing, so there may not be sound yet when you view it as of this post being posted.
If you recall the part where I was chilling with 2 plums, in this part I did something similar here here.
