I'm very impatient/impulsive at times just like I am wanting a new TV, but I'd let others laugh at me for it if they wanted to and I'd join them

I wonder why in RR, Rayman fires slower than he does in the other versions, and that he shoots with both hands. Maybe he's faster with just one hand like in the other versions?

I have no idea why but they changed a lot in RR. I still favour the Dreamcast since I like a fluid 60fps game just like Rayman 3 is

I will always favor the ps2 version. More levels, a cool slight open world, and good graphics. And well that's with that one I've played the most so of course there is the nostalgia factor here.
Only bad part of this version of the game for me is the fact the lore disappears. *That* was criminal.

I actually didn't notice the lore was missing while I was playing RR. That still kinda makes me sad though, they could have at least put that in the Magic Well shop or something.

Pretty sure Rayman flies over both yellow lava and normal lava in all versions of Beneath the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava (except maybe GBC)

Well you don't fly high like you do over the yellow stuff, but you can float above it and not die.

Hm, really? Another opportunity for me to do a little testing!!
Although I'm not quite at that level yet in RR.

I didn't too actually. But It's only really recently that i've caught up to the lore. It kinda sucks, i think kid me would have loved to have this lore while playing.

As for the lava.
Normally in zones where there is a lot of lava (sanctuary of fire/earth) the helicopter works. Yellow or red lava works the same there.
But i do remember falling into lava while have in some place when i had unlocked the "fly" power. Stupid things like trying to fly over a lamp filled of lava for example can sometimes (?) not work. Happened to me with RR.
So basically, in zones where you're not supposed to beat the level by flying over lava, you might have a risk that they'd forget to program the thing correctly.
Else you're supposed to be able to fly over any lava.

I find this interesting. Perhaps I should do some research on that lava concept, if it hasn't been done already.

I think it's only in Revolution but it's just do odd how it works. I noticed when I missed the sparadrap on Sanctuary Of Stone And Fire, hovered towards death slowly then suddenly he stopped falling

There are other places definitely with lava so I might test those other places and see, probably!

Worth a try but I'm guessing as Titenoute said, that most places probably won't be programmed to work properly. That's probably what you want in this case though to find glitches
