Ever spent so much time using something that you remember exactly how the mechanism for it works (timing it starts doing something etc.)?

Innocent, if I do something stupid, it'll keep me up. And then one day, years later, I try to sleep, and the brain's like, "hey! i'mma remind you of the humiliation you inflicted upon yourself a few years ago, sleep tight!"

Not with a hammer, fortunately. I'd be willing to wager I've hit it inadvertently with other items though.

I've hit myself in the left hand with a hammer a few times it's not that nice.
Innocent but sometimes I wasn't far from it.

Guilty. That happened when I was young. It created a huge scald on my stomach and that was my first trip to the hospital.
