I kinda started playing UbiArt games and I adored them but later I played the original trilogy and found out I preferred them than the UbiArt ones but they still have a place in my heart

Christophe Héral and Rémi Gazèl are both great artists, they just have different styles!
I like all the music from the main Rayman games and this is my rank list (based from my personal preferences)

5. Rayman 3

Sorry Rayman 3 fans, Rayman 3 soundtrack is my least favourite but I can agree that the Land of the Livid Dead, the Hoodoo and Hoodstomper themes are absolute bangers!!

I'd say 80% of the ost stuck with me

Without a doubt, I'll stick with the music from the original trilogy. After all, they are the games I grew up with and I remember them with much more depth and "affection". I find it very difficult to establish the order in the top three. Rayman 1 has themes that are simply iconical for the franchise, Rayman 3 brings you into each world in an enriching way and Rayman 2 gives you a total adventure atmosphere, as if it were a movie. Each game has a very different style and perhaps the only comparable ones would be Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends for being more similar. Between these two, I prefer Rayman Legends.

My personal ranking would probably be...
1. Rayman 3
2. Rayman 2
3. Rayman 1
4. Rayman Legends
5. Rayman Origins

Some interesting lists here. Makes me wonder how unpopular my own ranking is :

Legends is the most forgettable for me, with only a few standout tracks. 2's soundtrack is good, and has some real certified bangers, but a lot of the soundtrack feels indistinct and samey to me. Origins, meanwhile, is very memorable, has a lot of jammin' tunes, and actually feels reflective of the levels that they play in.

Finally someone who understood the music of Christophe Héral ! It is true that people do not realise that music fits perfectly with the scenery that they are inseparable. If everything is practically alive in Origins, the music understands it perfectly because we do not have the impression of hearing music but an accapela sung by the animals living in the background, for me it is really a very natural music given the primary and fun side of the music, and it is something that is not present in Legends because have is on something more cinematographic , and it would be weird to hear an orchestra in a forest, I find that the side "jungle" has returned in Mini, with the rather dominant presence of the Kazoo which really gives a side "insect" since it was already used for the theme of the Moskito.

Except that I praised the "jungle" music of Origins and on the contrary I did not glorify Legends because I said that the have found less this atmosphere.

And it's true that playing a vaec mosquito theme from the kazoo is genius.

2: but yeah, it is cool how heral reuses fitting music styles, and the only reason I was slightly put off was because of him being glorified above my fav, Gazel
