Hmm, so it seems that they did try to hinder the glitch in some capacity. Pity that they didn't direct those efforts into refining other aspects that were roughened by the transition, oh well.

Hang on, what version is that? The fact that it is non-GBA alone is scandalous, but I can't tell which version it is.

It may be the DSi version. It looks pretty similar.

DSi version cannot be recorded like that.

I am sure, it is the PS1 version.

Wow! I'm not sure if I'm more shocked that such a game-breaking glitch made its way into the "best version" of Rayman, or that it went undiscovered for almost two decades!

My curiosity is with the circumstances. Game breaking it is, but considering how long it took for it to be discovered, the means of triggering it must be far more obscure than say, the Flying Glitch from Rayman 2.

It's explained in one of the comments on that video. It sounds very easy to do, so maybe there's more to it than meets the eye.

Actually that sounds way harder than how you see that. And it just never happened to normal players because they don't try to mess with the game mechanics for better speedrun times

Sorry, maybe I read it wrong, I was kind of skimming.

Hmm, I wonder. I know RayWiki is host to some scoring tricks, why not add speedrunning into the mix?

PS1 on an emulator. New thing to watch out for when speedrunning, as it wastes over five minutes.

That's what I thought, too. Then I actually tried it out myself.

You mean like a collection of usable glitches? That'd be awesome, and make it much easier for aspiring speedrunners to try and run the game, because, yeah, all those strats in total probably save around 30 minutes, and there's a lot of 'em.
I'll share what I know if that's gonna be created.

Emulators introduce glitches of their own, sometimes, though.

That's very obviously not an emulation glitch, though.

*bump*
Before you dismiss this as fake, he provided the glitched memory card file.
Hehe, it caused you to clip out of the map, neat. Never had that happen to me in the PS1 game. I did manage to clip out of the second level of BtSoR&L, but didn't really take advantage of it, because I was a child and didn't understand the possibilities. Sadly, I have never been able to do it again, which sucks.

I think I'd could help too the wiki for glitches as I think I have a great knowdledge of the glitches since I TASed it.

Go right ahead, you're also a TASer, so you could always add articles about speedrunning as well. There's plenty of untouched ground in the Wiki when it comes to the technicalities of the games, I'd be elated if we began to cover such things.
