-A 3d retro-styled Sonic game with Green Hill Zone!
-Insanely hard and with no tutorials, screw Omochao!
-Tons of exploration! Who cares if Sonic is too fast to control well, he needs to explore!
-Wisps! They don't matter in the story but they're gimmicks, yay!
-Let's make the villains use really dirty language, like "I'm gonna skin you alive".
This seems like a Sonic game entirely dedicated to fans, and not accessible to the entire audience.
1. sure why not
2. definitely, sonic has been very easy lately
3. they tried it in sonic 06 i believe. it didn't look that bad.
4. NO!
5. "you spoony bard"

seeing as how their fanbase is made out of "normal" people, retards, 6-year olds, and people that create horrible "OC's," and the critics only play games with hookers, pussys and guns; i'm hoping for them to just think for themselves.

Have fun!
I'm curious to see what you think of its final boss, having watched a video of it, I have to say, I'm a little disappointed with what it turned out to be, but I'd like to know how you fellows regard it like.

Hm, I hear the 3DS version is pretty decent though, what's your beef with it?

Lucky bastard
EDIT: I'm sure you guys are all familiar with BlackBusterCritic. Well, he gave his own two cents about the recent Lost World review outrage.

It's not direct port and I can't shake off this feeling that it is simply inferior. I dunno, I saw both versions gameplay and Wii U seems much better for me.

Personally, I'm glad it's not a direct port, the 3DS may be powerful for a handheld, but it'd probably be a tall order to make a functional replica of the Wii U version without having to worry about issues such as screen crunch.

Many PSP games had a replica ports so I guess thats why I am expectong same on 3DS

Hm, ports of what exactly?
'Sides, the PSP screen is pretty big in comparison.

From what I hear, both versions have their advantages and disadvantages.
Anyway, just got off playing it.
I had fun the whole time, but I will say that the controls definitely take getting used to. This is not a fault of the controls being lackluster, but rather that they are the most complex controls we have ever had in a Sonic game. There is simply a lot you can do (more than I realised from all of the previews). Luckily, even before I mastered the controls, I really was enjoying it because the levels are REALLY expansive and worth exploring, filled with fun stuff to do. Sometimes I found myself running on top of trees just to look at the scenery, and assess the amount of places I could visit. The game truly captures the essence of adventure.
And while those Hint Rings can be viewed via the GamePad, I will admit that the tutorial messages for some of the more complex actions (such as the Infinite Spin Dash) are a little too vague. I didn't get a Game Over yet, but I have died quite a few times, and a lot of the time it was because I simply didn't master the controls. I do advise you practice within the Windy Hill stages as they are the safest, because from Desert Ruins onward, there are a lot of hazards. It's not overwhelming, but it's not ideal for practicing the game's mechanics.
However, once you master the controls (which I did, by working towards an S Rank in Time Attack Mode in the first two stages), it gets SUPER satisfying and fun to play. Seriously, while this game may have some Mario elements to it (and you literally can play it like a Mario game if you wish), if you master techniques like the Infinite Spin Dash, the game shows it's true potential, as it's like playing a Sonic game with all of the speed, with the jumping precision of a Mega Man game.
I'll write up a more complete impressions/review whenever I at least beat the final boss. My next stop is Tropical Coast Act 3.
Also, I tried the 2P Mode, and it's quite fun too, the levels have the depth of the single player levels, though sometimes with even MORE obstacles.
And you can tell the writers of Madworld are behind this game - Sonic implies that he'd like to kick Zazz in the crotch.
Oh, and 60 FPS, 1080p Sonic. Yeah, it's amazing to look at.

Well, 1080p and 60fps was in Sonic Generations PC, so it's not technically a first in that regard, but I think this is the first time for console versions.

I know it was in Generations PC (got to play that once), but it's still amazing to me. Especiialy with Lost World's surreal landscapes.

I can imagine, though given that Generations has been pulled wide open for modding, I wonder if a Lost World inspired mod will appear...

Somebody is working on one, but it won't have spherical worlds or anything, because it's apparently impossible to do that in the Generations engine.
In fact, I believe that the mod somebody is making is only changing music and some cosmetic things.

Thats too bad because I was hoping for mod like that.
