Wow, this just goes to show how much time has passed! Around the time I first joined, this character turned into a meme, "Tomato Taco". There's no reason to associate that figure with that name, but iHeckler made the leap, and thus so it was. Someone came up with a proper explanation much more recently. Something to do with Rayman's explosion into 3D or something like that…

I already see this "red character" but i thought that he’s was already noticed. Speaking of it, i make a screenshots of a weird object near the unknown character in the E3 trailer (probably linked to the Jeff Zone).

Well regardless, it was still quite the interesting video!
Hmmm...I wonder if the demos in the N64 version of Rayman 2 are SUPPOSED to be this fast... :?

It’s doesn’t explain why Rayman suddenly fainted for no reason or the weird object above.

She was referring to the "weird object". It's a cannon.
Also he fainted because he was tired out after all the exertion of the trailer.

I would've guessed he was tired too tbh ;)

But about that demo being fast I'm not sure. Probably because the framerate on the N64 is only like half of what it's going on PJ64 so maybe it's twice as fast

Well but anyway that doesn't affect gameplay so it's still good :)
The gameplay si still pretty normal, the only thing weird are the demos and the cutscenes are a little fast.

I think what's happening is PJ64 is 60fps, but the real N64 isn't powerful enough to run at that framerate so it's capped to 30fps. That's my guess so cutscenes and demo's would be double speed.

Yeah I think that's true, since I've seen other games that I've run on PJ64 run a little faster than expected. Behold, even with years of people working on this emulator, it's still not perfect. But I appreciate all the hard work the PJ64 community has done for the emulator. :)
Without it, how could I play N64 games since my controllers are still pretty much busted?

Broken analog stick?

Yeah it works really well for some games. Did you ever try Retroarch?

Sticky-z button on one, non-responsive for the other.

In my case it was the analog stick that broke years ago.

Try Retroarch though, that has some good plugins and it like an all in one emulator ;)

Hm, sure why not? I'll give it a go when I do a walkthrough of another N64 game. :)

Try it next time for any game and see what you think. There's even one called Lakka that's basically an OS running Retroarch.

I don't need to use it but it exists ;)

I've always wondered why the Japanese versions of Ly in Dreamcast and Revolution have different faces, the Dreamcast one makes her look so much more of a fairy than her actual look in other versions, while the RR one just makes her look plain weird.

I need some help from someone who might know more about this. Is there a way to get Rayman 2 working on Windows 10? I tried to use the widescreen hack then run it but I just get this:
Capture.PNG
Capture.PNG (8.29 KiB) Viewed 1394 times
I tried running as admin and also it seems so broken that it won't even detect any video card or resolution:
Capture2.PNG
I have the uplay version so by any chance should I have the GoG instead? I can just buy that one if it will work.

I've heard that the GOG version fixes a lot of things for example the giant Robo-Pirate face glitch on the CD version. And I never got that glitch before so I think it would be worth to give it a try.
