Re: Rayman 3
Huh, don't think I've ever had to lock on, so long as the reticle was there and I was vaguely in the right direction, that'd do the trick. Keep an eye on where you shoot relative to where Begoniax is, that's the key.

Re: Rayman 3
He is a fun character ain't he? Truth be told I was wondering how you'd find his second phase as it can be a bit finicky keeping tabs on him while trying not to fall into the pits.

Re: Rayman 3
It was way less harder than the first boss... falling in the pits doesnt make you take damage!

Re: Rayman 3
Also i noticed how maybe the Hoodlum name are a pun?
They are hooded lums, so hoodlums. Idk if that's intentional tho.

Re: Rayman 3
Hah that could be another way of calling them! Since they only reveal the black line underneath when defeated!

Until a few months ago I didn’t actually realise hoodlums were lums

Yeah! I was playing yesterday and thought "was that intentional?" So i went to look on the wiki and didnt see anything about it! So maybe it is unintentional? The Jonster wrote: Wed Nov 06, 2024 5:25 pm Hah that could be another way of calling them! Since they only reveal the black line underneath when defeated!

Re: Rayman 3
Oh it wasn’t mentioned on the wiki? Interesting but it is a nice reference to the relation between the black lums and hoodlums

Re: Rayman 3
A chiller level than Bog of Murk in general when it comes to the level design, but combat encounters do start ramping with some new enemies being introduced. You'll need to be on your toes and good at evading as you encounter some newer enemies, as they have quite the attack range.

Interesting! I need to learn how to pay more attention to the enemies, so this will be a learning time for me!
Edit: Thid guy keeps throwing toys at me.. how do i defeat him?

Re: Rayman 3
Throwing toys? Are they like smaller critters carrying bottles? It sounds like you're fighting the Grim Keeper. They're a bit finicky, remember how you beat that hoodlum in the Fairy Council hiding behind that Globox shield? It's a similar principle, you wanna have it so they keep blocking your punches to one side that will leave them open on the other.
It'll take a bit of trying, especially cause the little Grims will keep you distracted so you need to punch them so they don't make contact with you at the same time. Just be relentless and keep the curving of punches technique in mind and you'll get there.
EDIT: Also protip. While double-posting is frowned on, if you wanna add something to a new post but also want it to draw attention, copy-paste the old post and delete it. Make a new post with the old posts contents and add your edit in there, that way it won't break the double-post rule and it'll also be flagged as a new post so someone can better come across it.

Ooohhh, is it the one with the floating staircases? That's one of my favourite setpieces in the game.
