If you'd been following recent news you'd know, (I don't mean this in sarcasm) that in most levels they'll have these Electoon-based areas through-out their levels.

On a side note I have a friend whos blaming me for all the Rayman Origins advertisments and videos poping up on youtube and such. Why? I have no idea. She proclaimed to love Rayman and tried to even prove herself to be a bigger fan then me A few weeks back(Shes hardly played Rayman 2). Now suddenly she hates the game and everything to do with it. After I showed her the collectors edition and told her I was gonna get it she told me that "The collectors edition was way too expensive" but sometime before that she bragged about how she spent Hundreds on Final Fantasy games and implied that vintage games needed to be expensive in order to be vintage.

Rayman 2 will always remain the classic of the franchise, in my view anyways.

I mean IMO R1 was way better, harder, and funnier...

I thought R2 was way too easy after R1... that kinda dissapointed me

I, for one prefer Rayman 3

Nothing to do with nostalgia. I hated Rayman 2 and Rayman 3 from the offset, because they were too much of a departure from the first game. Rayman 1 was more difficult, it took longer to complete, it had a MUCH better soundtrack and more importantly it was in 2D.

You guys were lucky enough to get two 3D Rayman games but for those of us who prefer 2D, we didn't get a second game. Until now!

According to Ancel, the next game will be in 2D as well. Going by the success of Origins, I'm not surprised either.

^ You're right, rayman possibly won't make an appearance in the 3d world for a while, since Michel Ancel got obsessed with his new Ubiart tool

Ok, now...about Rayman Origins, maybe they call it the best of the franchise because is the one which has caught more attention, since the rayman franchise is not popular at all. Or well, maybe it is. Sometimes the best game of the franchise is the new one, but people can't see it because of nostalgia. A good example is Super Mario Galaxy 2, an excelent game, you guys should play it, is a complete piece of art (10/10 from IGN, wow), buuut people will keep saying that the best mario game is SMB 3, just for the nostalgia.

Rayman 2 is great, excelent, but not as attractive for me as rayman origins, possibly because of my love for cartoons

I freaking love the slow-mo part with the daisy at the beginning. Also, the narrator here is much better than the one in the first trailer.
