It's nice how a neutral point of view, or simply facts, is considered progressive or liberal by conservatives. It just shows how closed-minded people can be...

So do I but the way they describe it is just too lame.

It's weird, is all I'm going to say. Weird with a gay opening.

And Flapjack has THE most annoying voice in HUMANITY. And his laugh...UGH. D: God.

Apart from that, it's actually not too bad. But God is it annoying. D: I was sitting there at the end of the episode thinking, "What the hell?"
I used to try and watch that back in the summer but in the end I didn't find much time to watch anything on CN [as always]. I do like it though, it's one of the more decent 2000s toons out there. You do know Flapjack's voice actor is also his creator though right?

Am I the only one here who DOES approve of same-sex marriage? If a gay/lesbian couple want to get married then why shouldn't they?

I see nothing wrong with it, they have the right to get married just like anyone else.

Sure they have the right to get married. Just not to members of the same sex.

I think the whole reason behind the issue in the first place is because marriage has been defined by religion. I'm more-so a supporter of civil unions and the like, just so that they have the ability to, let's say, will their possessions to their partners or see their partners in the hospital if the other happens to be severely ill. They're not given those rights, currently.

My point exactly. Plus the fact that marriage would allow them to adopt children, which I don't think is a good thing for the kids, not because of the parents but because society is certainly not ready to accept this yet.

Yeah, that's something I'm also a little fuzzy on myself, just because, while I don't doubt that two females together, or two males together, could raise a child just as well or better than typical parents, one can't ignore the fact that they can't produce a child on their own either. And while I see reproduction as something inferior (maybe even selfish) in this time and age, with the human population being as explosive as it is, I'm still unsure about how society or laws would accept a gay couple adopting and raising a child.

In Portugal that law of same-sex marriage was recently approved, but they are still debating about the children adoption by couples of the same-sex.
I don't have anything against the gays or lesbians but I think there are more important things to the government concerning about instead of same-sex marriages.

I can certainly understand why people disapprove of gay adoption (myself being one of them), but there is nothing sociologically wrong with gay marriage.

Nope, you're not. :3 I also don't see anything wrong with same sex adoption.

That's an extraordinarily cruel thing to do to a child.

Hmm. When exactly did you decide that you were a 'gay rights activist'? That's not the sort of conclusion an eleven-year-old reaches about themselves for no reason. Were you pushed into adopting this stance by homosexual propaganda of some sort? Or was it something your parents or a teacher said to you?

Please tell how how your 'gay rights activism' career began.

Edit: To clarify, the main reason I oppose gay marriage is that it gives equal status to heterosexual and homosexual couples, even though they clearly aren't equal. I think the gays should be happy that they have their civil partnerships, which are more than enough for them and fulfill every practical purpose that a marriage does.

Recently. Okay, it's a little heavy for an eleven year old, but hey. I wasn't pushed into it, I decided for myself.

Just what was it that caused you to make the decision, if you don't mind me asking?

I don't mind gay people or their marriages, as long as they don't act like the stereotype. I know at least five gay people and they're actually very kind.

Just felt like saying that. :P

Why are you being so fussy about this, spiral?

I don't think I'm being fussy. Did you say that because you disagree with me?
